This sure puts me in my place... how, exactly? If I could "put my cheddar where my mouth is" just by spouting off random/well-known games I like or dislike, I could ride my waves of cheddar to the moon and die from lack of air. But at least I'd be stinking rich.

Are you trying to prove a point by saying you don't like popular old games? Just... just really? Is that your argument? I just have the brain power to comprehend things change. Sometimes they advance, sometimes they don't. Older things aren't shit just because they're old. Newer things aren't awesome just because they're new.

I'm not won over just by realistic graphics. I'm not won over just because of nostalgia factor. A game has to have both these things to be considered a good game - and age doesn't have to have anything to do with it, unless you're biased. If shiny graphics make the game for you - good for you! As long as you go about your merry way and be pop flyin' and let everyone be pop flyin' to, I don't give a shit. See, now, if you were just saying "Graphics are the make-or-break... for me" I'd be keeping my filthy whore mouth shut. But that's not what your saying. You're free to change your mind, or specify what that's what you were saying now. But at this point in time, after all this arguing, it doesn't look like that was your original intention at all.

What? What? How can you argue newer = better and graphics are a huge factor of games when you list things like various sequels and World of Warcraft?! You realize that sequels use pretty much the exact same graphics as their previous games, right? As in they didn't get any better even though they were newer games in the series? And WoW... just... wow. WoW utilizes the "lowest" of graphics so more people can play it! Because it's supposed to be about the gameplay!

I can't even... wrap my head around this. You downplay gameplay and then list things that succeed because THEY IMPROVE OR FOCUS ON THE GAMEPLAY as your favourites! Or are those supposed to be examples proving your point? Because I REALLY fail to see it.
