It's funny but that's not what it intended to be.

Oh maybe it is.

DAMMIT, WHERE'D IT GO!?

I was trying to show this site that rightfully took the piss out of shitty webcomics with cocky authors.

It's number one article/target? Dominic Deegan. And it made fucking good points.

I read it when I had been a huge Dominc Deegan fan at the time, and I realized just how ridiculous the story was. The plot points are stupid or terrible, the characters are all idiotic, or just completely unlikeable, and the author is a cocky crybaby.

I was going to go there to quote some of the good points it made in regards to the inplausibility of almost all the story archs, even in a world where magic is normal. The only way you could explain them was to plug your fingers in your ears and cry "A WIZARD DID IT!"

But unfortunately, the site has seemingly disappeared. I can't find it anywhere, even with the help of google, entering the exact same name I remember the site used to use. So either they have changed the name and any tags relating to it, or it's simply been lost the sands of time.

If someone knows what I'm talking about though and can provide a link, that'd be lovely.

Was it the "Your Webcomic is Bad and You Should Feel Bad" blog? Because I think the author of that blog gave up on it and deleted it. He hated Dominic Deegan WITH A PASSION, and made excellent points, going so far as to link directly to comics that illustrated his points. Anyway, the sheer awfulness of the comics he reviewed probably drove him to abandon the blog, as it seems to have disappeared off the internet.

Yeah, seems like he deleted. He did have an excellent critique of Domic Deegan, albeit it was... frighteningly angry.

I remember the last post I saw by him was that fans of CTRLALTDEL and Dominic Deegan were trying to spam his comment boxes or something with flames and hate mail for him ripping on both comics.

But that was the last I saw of it. So it wouldn't surprise me if that is the case. :|

I remember laughing so hard I cried when he got so angry about the picture of... Siggy? Siggie? The knight guy with his "lobster claw" and "key blade".

OH! I've got one!

SUBNORMALITY!

This guy brings WORDSWORDSWORDS to a whole new level. He puts CAD to shame with his walls of text, 90% of which are entirely unnecessary. Also, I hate to throw around this buzzword, but the entire comic is just FILLED TO THE BRIM with him spouting his pretentious hipster viewpoints.

This guy is more hipster than Questionable Content and more verbose than CAD. That's an accomplishment.

Doesn't excuse it. In fact, it makes it worse, as it's something that's very easily corrected, and he's just too much of a lazy bastard to edit his precious words.

I was enjoying quite a few bits of the comic* till I got the bottom and

and then there was a random cat-girl head and I WTF'd. That is one ugly overly anthro'd Cheetara-looking lady.

* as in the one on the front page right now. (The "weird" one.)

Meet The Order of the Stick.
It's actually fairly interesting and I quite like it, but I stopped reading it over a year ago when I found I was just skimming over the dialogue and had no idea what was going on anymore.

Maybe I'm not at the right part, but. I don't Subnormality is that bad. Not the best, but it's alright-ish.

Did you even LOOK at the Subnormality archives? I read OotS regularly and it doesn't even come CLOSE to the wordiness of Subnormality. Also, OotS makes up for it with an actually intriguing storyline, fully fleshed-out and interesting characters, and funny jokes. Subnormality has no continuity, few (if any) recurring characters who receive zero development, and the "jokes" are 90% of the time just the author ranting about his viewpoint and forgetting to put in a punchline.

Only a short glance, but enough to see how many daisies words there are.
I didn't mean to say that OotS is wordier than Subnormal, though I admit I really worded my post badly.
But as I said, I like OotS. I just stopped reading it a rather long time ago and I don't have the patience to start over. No need to tell me why it's good, I already know.

Still, I'd say that OotS is at least a little too wordy as well. Most of the time, that's not a problem for the reasons you already mentioned and it helps to make the plot advance faster, but I think I stopped reading at some point with pages after pages of almost no development at all.
Maybe my memories are a little exaggerated, but what I'm saying is that at some point, there's just too many words for the comic's own good, and while OotS doesn't hit that point very often, it certainly has done so once or twice in the past.

Edit:
But after reading through a little more of Subnormality's archives, some of it actually isn't bad. I thought this one was pretty good, for example.
Still, most of either isn't funny or it's ruined by a horrible punchline.
