Time for a video game rage story from Ody. This time, Star Trek: Bridge Commander. To make things as quick as possible, I'll use greentext.

>Take command of the U.S.S. Voyager
>Wage war against the Cardassians with a fleet of 50+ Federation ships
>Win
>Fleet returns to base
>Pick up a Romulan distress call from the Briar Patch
>Engage at maximum warp, despite ship looking like this:

Image

>Arrive in the Briar Patch, only to see a derelict Romulan warbird and two fully-armed Sona battlecruisers equipped with isolytic torpedoes staring me in the face
>Torpedoes rip through shields, tearing the starboard nacelle in half and disabling warp drive
>Send distress signal
>Evasive maneuvers
>Full power to phasers
>Destroy one ship with minimal damage, bring down the shields of the other
>Begin shredding its hull with photon torpedoes
>Sona ship fires two isolytic torpedoes
>Both hit the warp core
>Ship is vaporized before any allied ships can respond
>I forgot to save

Because my shields were 75% recharged, I was the only ship in range, and I'd already begun peace negotiations with the Sona, so I figured I could talk them out of it. Evidently not.

I got that a while ago, but traded it in for credit.

It's a great game, but the broken up portions made it feel kinda shallow. :\

Played some TF2 with Dimm and Torizo today, and after they went to bed I found a capture the flag server which let me join. Playing medic is much fun, it just got annoying because I was the only one currently in game, and as soon as my team found out that they got a medic I saw popping up the medic signs everywhere <_>
But it was fun defending the base along with 2 demos and around 3 or 4 engis, until a heavy-medic combo on the other team appeared and steam rolled trough us, and there weren't any other heavys or atleast pyros coming up in a while so I could pair up with them to go do the same.
Well no idea how the match ended, or will end, because when I left there were still 700+ minutes playtime and I got enough action for today.

Probably the most hilarious situation was when I joined, some stupid pyro kept spy checking me the whole time.
And tomorrow I'm going to try to learn scoot a little better.

Playing Medic will ensure everyone on your team loves you.

Playing Sniper will get nothing but rage.

Depends, when you play a medic retarded nobody will love you.

I know there are worlds between those two games, but TF2 is just so much better and more fun then pvping in WoW. Seriously, as soon as I played with Dimm and Tori and on the random game, I started wondering how I actually endured all that crap.
But I still don't like arena :/

Everyone who plays arena are a lot more skilled than those that play standard games.

I can rack up a good 5:1 kill death ratio on normal maps as heavy, but it's a pain in the booty to try and survive an arena round and get a few kills in it.

Not necessarily. People are generally pretty thankful when you headshot a guy who was just about to deal the finishing blow on them. The problem is that not enough snipers concentrate on trying to protect their teammates and instead go for kills.

Too many people go sniper to kill other snipers. That's the problem, they basically end up worthless if they only aim for enemy snipers. 6n6

Also if a pyro lingers around a medic spychecking him all the time, he's probably trying to light up spies in the vicinity to protect you. That's what I do when I'm pyro, I lurk around the engineers and flame all the corners :3c
