I think this is actually the first time I'm leaving Eterna City without switching Epilepsie's forms. I'm not because it's pretty much at the most ideal form for me right now. Hydro Pump is more reliable than the other moves, and benefits from AntiGrav's Rain Dance.
It's also the fist time I didn't make a "everyone states the obvious in Eterna City" joke.
And that's two 'first times' in a row!
I! Seriously! Hate! This! Sno- oh wait, hey, notice anything different?
Here's a tip:
This is what the next-door route is like.
That's right, the snow is different! Woop! Those who read Masuda's blog would recognise this already!
Oh, MORE explanations! See, on certain days, like today (30th October), there's a special/extra weather condition in certain areas! It's a nice litle easter egg feature. For another example, it rains on July 11th on route 213.
Supposedly they're meant to mean somthing. Probably birthdays or other events. But I don't know of what's so special about those two days...
...although you probably would've noticed the diamond snow more more if it was animated. It falls completely differetly to regular snow.
I still absolutely LOVE this boat!
...huh. I really do not have a recollection of ever having planted berries here. Or anywhere, for that matter!
...I spent all of the last few episodes invovd in utterly no Pokemon battles whatsoever and yet I STILL make a bee-line to the Pokemon Center! Just because I'm not sticking around with Staravia in these parts!
I see McPants has made absolutely no progress at intimidating these guys. How long have they been having some sort of a metaphysical mexican stand-off anyway?!
As far as I can tell: the universe just REALLY wants to screw me over!
'Tough' is one of the last things I'd ever say to describe you. Unless it's about your head.
Once again, Flint proves himself to be the very personification of homosexuality!
....the fact that every other trainer here is at
least levels ahead of me is highly discouraging!
Well at least someone else is getting screwed over by sheer improbable movesets this time! Geez!
Couldn't even survive one turn? C'mon, even Epilepsie survived, and he's a flipping Poygon 11 levels lower than you!
This is so silly. So very very silly.
And paralysation too?! Thi moment, this turn right here, is probably the highlight of Epilpsie's entire career!
Everyone switched in a new Pokemon this turn. Err... except for me. Hm, this may be problematic.
Welp, it was awesome while it lasted!
I still utterly love when an opponent has an ability that, when traced, make the Pokemon nigh-on useless!
...but it doesn't matter, as Snorlax is actually capable of killing the opponents this time! Goddamnit, you were even more useful when you were entirely useless! You're the only person I've ever known who could be that goddam bad!
Okay, I take back what I said. You surely can't be any worse than an opponent that misses with
Overheat! I mean... HOW do you miss with something like that?! It's a flipping giant ball of fire, for cripes sake!
I have come to a conclusion. Eevee evolutions have a particular affinity for Dying Instantly! IT'S A FLIPPING SNORLAX! IT'S RENOUNED FOR TAKING AGES TO KNOCK DOWN! IF YOU'RE NOT EVEN AS POWERFUL AS A FLIPPING
TANK...
Okay, see that? THAT's a Pokemon you should use! That's the kinda Pokemon you should've sent out first turn! Heck, just throw away the rest of your team and use just that! And knowing your Eevees you'd still somehow end up winning more matches!
Hay guys, anyone remember what extra move Magmortar has?!
I wholeheartedly support any mass destrucion agaist McPants' Pokemon. Especially in nuclear laser beam form!
Oh WOW, Flint really does not like that Snolax!
AND YOU STILL! FUCKING! LOST!
YOUR PATHETICNESS IS INFAMOUS THROUGHOUT THE GALAXY!
GEEZ!
Yes, these two guys do have a joint Pokemon theme. A dog and a dog, an Eeve and an Eeve, and... big... things!
FINALLY! God, it's a little whiny kid! How can you have such a hard time beating him?!
Oh for the love of- How many flipping Pokemon does he have that know that move?!
I... I feel so very left out in this match...
Goddamnit, McPants actually did more than me! I'll never live this down!
Second thoughts, anything that results in free levels is good for me!
Yeah, as far as I know, if you have an NPC teammate, his Pokemon don't gain Exp, so it counts as a regular match experience-wise.
I guess you could say... he's a man of few words!
Promise to do it again? Dude, were you not aware of what you were doing? The only reason I had to fight you was because YOU WERE BEING A GINORMOUS ASSHOLE!
And that's coming from
me! You know that's bad!
IT'S PALMER! He's the the leader/frontier brain of the battle tower! And is awesome!
I realised I haven't really explained much of the Battle Frontier yet. And that's because I actually don't know much about it! I never played any of the frontier games from the other games, except the regular Battle Tower!
Oh yeah, and he's Pearl's father.
Except this isn't a sitcom, so thankfully the game doesn't expect you to care in the slightest.
*pfft*, "Daddy"!
Really? Cause, y'know, I've never actually seen you before. ...are you stalking me?
Yeah.... yeah, he is, actually. How the hell did a guy like him managed to raise a kid so functionally retarded as you anyway?!
Err... I already explained that to the audience, sorry.
Okay, WHY does everyone seem to insist on stalking me all the time?!
Basically, long story short, "go to stark mountain". And that's where I'm heading to next!
Some things just never change...
Aand now I'm back on the road again!
....for a loose meaning of the word 'road'. Chances are, if I know my Pokemon, the only non-grassy parts of this route are gonna be... stairs!
