And the point was about LittleBigPlanet. Someone said there weren't any other signifigant 2D platformers. I pointed this out.

So what you're saying is that its alright for it to be stagnant and archaic as long as there are only a few others in the genre, and that it having absolutely no reason to exist is excused because other games have no reason to exist?

By the way, PsP, DS, XBLA and PsN all would also like a word with you.

Isn't the point of New Super Mario Bros. the fact that it doesn't bring much innovation and is really similar to the older ones?

I mean, if you want innovation in the Mario series just play Super Mario Galaxy or something.

Well, it's meant to be largely the same as ye olde Mario games, but individual levels are meant to be largely different from each other. Like the way it was since SMB3.
And it does.
But there'll always be people complaining about how it's all the same because it doesn't have a completely new mechanic on its own.


And I believe I've firmly expressed my opinion on those kind of people.
