HI GUYS I'm back from making gingerbread houses with my family! Only they're not really gingerbread houses; they're milk cartons with graham crackers stuck to them and then decorated.

Any way, I have several ideas for a name for our anonymous airship captain:
Airlia (of the air)
Alcina (strong-minded)
Aldora (winged gift)
Aleria (eagle-like)
Alula (winged one)
Avis (a bird)
Azura (blue sky)
Calandra (lark)
Canace (daughter of the wind)
Celandine (the swallow)
Lark (the singing lark or skylark)
Lodema (pilot or guide)
Malvina (chief)
Meryl (blackbird)
Phoenix (the heron or eagle)
Zeva (sword)
Ceporah (bird)

These were pulled straight from a name book I have and I tried to find names associated with the sky or birds. (Lodema is here because she IS the pilot of the ship, Malvina is there because she is the leader of the crew, and Zeva is there because swords are cool )

I vote for Avis.

My captain was named Lia. Of course in my version she's not a pirate captain but whatever.

I swear to god I will post my ideas one of these days but I always feel so self-conscious about telling other people my ideas.

Ehh...Cliched, but I'll roll with it.

SO there's the basic principle that's been set up, it's in the sky, there's a female captain, ecetera. That's about where the similarities end. My version is called The Legend of Zelda: The Cloud Runner.

Link is running around in Hyrule doing his heroic deeds, when a big hunk of wood crashes in front of him. Out of the wreck crawls a woman and a birdman, Lia and Heene respectively. They tell him of their plight and ask him to help fix their ship, The Blue Sky. So Link runs around and grabs some wood and stuff, and Heene starts fixing the ship. While he does that, Lia explains why they crashed.

In the Land of the Sky, Airships like the Blue Sky are the only way to travel. Until recently, ships were only made of wood and powered by balloons. Then Captain Drake invented a primitive rocket.

Armed with the rocket, he built an incredibly fast iron ship called the Thorn. Unsinkable and able to outrun any ship in the sky, Drake is using the Thorn to destroy all other airships, hoping to make himself the undisputed King of the Sky. Lia's ship is one of many that have fallen to Drake.

Heene finishes repairing the ship, and Lia invites Link to help them stop Drake. He joins them to find the one ship capable of ending Drake's reign: the legendary Cloud Runner.

Mander you have caught my interest. I have lots of questions for you about your story.

1. How would Link go about helping Lia and Heene while on their airship?
2. Would Link be separated from them due to some accident or incident?
3. How would peoples' previous ideas about the sealed castle and the three keys fit into the plot?
4. Would Lia and Heene's ship be Link's main method of transportation or would he have his own aviation device?
5. Does Captain Drake cause problems on the surface on the earth as well as the sky, and if so, how?
6. Where would Zelda be in this plot? (I know we haven't established that in other peoples' ideas either, but I'm curious)
7. If Link were to be separated from Lia and Heene, would they provide Link with a way to communicate with them and recieve advice? (Like the King of the Red Lions in Wind Waker)
and finally,
8. What kind of temples or dungeons would be in the game, how would Link get to them (specifically), and what would be the purpose of those dungeons?

I'm sorry if it sounds like I'm interrogating you...I'm just really interested and I want to know more about it. Answer if you can, but don't sweat it if you haven't worked out some of the things I've asked you.
