Huh. That's odd. Because I was there at the time, and as I remember it, he left because he got his mod powers revoked after he started banning people for minor offenses!

Ohhh right, now I remember. A whole bunch of us got angry at the proletariats were abusing the wordfilter (which was ridiculously bad at the time. You couldn't even say 'wow' or 'hero'). SBKT in particular made a huge fuss after the wordfilter essentially turned a thread about your favourite browser into people making jokes at his typo. Spoony and SBKT promptly got into a huge hissy fit with each other, resulting in the former banning the latter for... well, partly because he kept complaining in the same thread instead of making a new thread for it, and partly for the hissy fit reason. After that... it was mostly background stuff, I heard what I said above, and Spoony just completely stopped posting.

I miss Spoony, too.
He was a bit of an booty sometimes, but so are a lot of people who are still here.
The word filters were pretty stupid, yeah, but ridiculously easy to avoid, and they were a good way to tell who had lurked before joining (Hey, why is my post saying 'Disregard this post.'? I didn't type that! I typed Disregard this post.!).
I kinda regret not sending him a mail when he was sending around those PMs just before he left.
