For those of you who live in the US, it's Independence Day! What better day to blow one's own hand off with sometimes illegal pyrotechnics?

God daisies. I'm getting SLiTHER on DVD today (it's one in the morning, on July 4th right now) and I planned on watching it tonight... Now, thanks to my neighbors blowing crap up outside, my viewing experience will be disturbed greatly. daisies... Poor planning on my part...

Indeed! Dad actually got me some flammable things this year. Normally I get one sparkler, a box of paper popper things and fifteen minutes to watch the fireworks on TV. xD

But, sadly, he won't let me go watch the fireworks. Apparantly, sixteen is still too young for me to get to walk the three blocks to the church to watch the local boy scouts celebrate god's glory and America by blowing things up. Bleh.

Not that I'd probably go anyways, you know? It's just the concept I guess.

Anyways. Back to staring hungrilly at the firecrackers he got me.

I've been hearing a symphony of fire engine sirens all night.

I've been hearing a symphony of drunken screaming all night.

I must've seen at least three or four ambulances running around tonight...

Eh. Last night was mild here. It's normal to hear one or two ambulances every evening within about.... oh, five blocks of my house, but last night it was quiet.

I walked through a mob, cold and in the rain, watching fireworks and sitting in a coffee shop.

I saw about 3 sparkly fireworks outside my hotel room, then got bored since my view was obstructed, and went inside, laid under the covers and played Gameboy; America's real greatest pastime.
