It's a book about a guy named Johnny Truant who finds a book written by a blind guy about a documentary that never existed about a journalist who never existed who moves into a house that may or may not have existed. It's told using extensive footnotes that cite sources that don't exist, along with Johnny Truants footnotes which explain how crazy the blind guys book is. Certain passages written by Zampano, the blind man, appear upside down, reversed, or just nonsensical and incomplete.

To explain how this book is written is a bit confusing. It includes the entirety of Zampano's book, which has been edited by Johnny Truant. Truant has his own notes written within the book in a different font as to not confuse the reader further. Truant tells his own story of finding the book, and how it's affected him. Also, Truant is pretty much trippin' balls. This book is really scary, really artistic, and extremely well written. Buy it. I have the hard cover, full color, remastered edition, and that's definitely the way to go. It's around 40-45 dollars (US). This book is an experience everyone needs to take part in.

I think I've heard of this book before. From my English teacher in high school, I do believe. Sounds interesting, at least. I'll have to check the bookstore here. What's one more book when I've already spent a fortune on them?

And that same teacher told us about one book where the footnotes take over. I wish I could remember what it was, though...

House of Leaves. It has pages full of just footnotes, and footnotes for those footnotes. Actually, half of the first part of the book is just Johnny's footnotes explaining how he found the book and how it's been fucking him up. I'd scan some pages, I'm out of town.

Nice. I couldn't remember if it was the same book or not, I just remembered the name Johnny Truant.

Well, I never actually saw the book, but it definitely looks interesting. So, did you read this with a mirror, or what? Haha. You can't just flip it like you can on the computer.

Yeah, I know. I had to use a mirror, because it was giving me a headache.

We'll have none of this. Stop before something has to be done.

:'C Do not want beastiality. (You have won.)

Now I guess I'll try to post something intellectual. Your post made the book sound very, very confusing. I doubt I'd be able to read it without feeling incredibly retarded, but it sounds like a good read for those that could.
