For some reason, that makes the game sound more fun in a "Holy shit everything is fucked up sorta way"

Speaking of Yahtzee, he also wrote an Extra Punctuation on Scribblenauts.

Honestly, my thoughts on Yahtzee, especially after reading that, is he isn't exactly the sorta person I want to take videogame purchasing advice from. When I play videogames, ultimately I have one goal, and that's to have fun. Whether I'm playing hardcore games or casual games; linear, sandbox or competative; computer games or console games; whatever.

Idiots are everywhere, and not just as a part of the videogame fandom. If you let idiots ruin things for you, and dictate what you enjoy and don't enjoy, then you have become one of those idiots that you so despise. If I let idiots like RNF get to me, I wouldn't be able to enjoy the Megaman series (or whatever). If I let Weeaboos get to me, then I wouldn't be able to enjoy the better side of Anime like Full Metal Alchemist.

Idiots will be idiots, and that doesn't have to take away from the fun in stuff, if you learn to ignore them.

Yahtzee doesn't seem to have fun with videogames anymore, and thus I fundamentally have to question, why bother anymore?

As for me, I still watch and read his stuff simply because he's funny. I often find myself disagreeing with him, but that won't stop me from enjoying any games or his reviews.
I mean, I already thought Scribblenauts was terrible before he even reviewed it.

Everyone expects Yahtzee to hate everything so he does.

He's not a serious game reviewer and never will be, he's only ever going to be one of those weird forms of internet entertainment.

This.

I thought it was a bad concept from the off. Not my cup of tea anyway.

Which reminds me, I think he actually said once that he tries not to review games he really likes, simply because everybody seemed to hate the Psychonauts review where he was just praising that game.

He said it several times, actually. If he likes a game, he does mention that he likes it but that it's far more entertaining to nitpick it anyway!
