"The Great Silence" (Il Grande Silenzio) is the greatest Western ever.

I'd say discuss, but there is nothing to discuss here. Just watch it, come back and agree with me.

My best friend told me it is indeed really fucking scary and he almost rustled himself watching it. I am still in slight disbelief it could be that scary, but I watched the trailer and it looked cool. Too bad MY TOWN DOESN'T WANNA BRING IT HERE. Pirating an indie movie would make me feel bad. :c

IS WAY TOO FUCKING LONG.

Don't get me wrong, it's a good story, and well written, but when you're using a medium such as film, you do have to fit the constraints of the medium. Movies should be three hours, TOPS, because no one wants to have to SCHEDULE FOUR HOURS OF FREE TIME to watch a goddamn movie. You don't see people writing 1000 page epic comic books. You don't see sporting events that last for several days (well, you do, but that's why cricket sucks booty). And you most certainly do NOT make a movie FOUR GODDAMN HOURS LONG, let alone THREE OF THEM!

I'll stick to Goodfellas. A movie that is willing to fit itself in a reasonable timeframe.

So, did anyone else like Coraline? I thought it was great. (I really need to go to the theater more often. I haven't been there since I saw that back in February.)

I read the book a few years back, and then I was really excited for the movie. It was better than I thought it would be. I loved the Beldum.

I got the DVD box set (Coppola Restoration) right here. Let's see how long the movies are, shall we?

The Godfather: 170 Min.
The Godfather II : 194 Min.
The Godfather III: 163 Min.

So the only one that even exceeds three hours is the second one, and not one of the three is anywhere near fours hours.
What were you talking about?

Coraline was way too over-hyped for me, so when I finally got the chance to watch it, it was a total let down. Maybe it was just because of the computer I was watching it on, but at parts the animation seemed to move very jerky, it wasn't flowing right. I loved the mouse circus parts though.

Yeah, that's kinda your computer.
What's wrong with the cinemas? You contracted vampirism or something?

Or, y'know. Your video/DVD rental store.
