I do plan on doing HeartGold when it comes out (expectedly April), but in the meantime, do give suggestions if you want to see a shorter game done in the meantime. And remember, I do have a Wii and I can do a video LP (which I think I'd prefer, actually).


I would, except that the 3D games are very hard to do screenshot wise. That Cyrus battle took AGES for me to do, just to get the right screenshots. And while a video LP would be better for it, it is an RPG: videoLPs of them get VERY boring pretty quickly.

I might consider doing some of a Battle Revolution tournament though.



Sure. If by awesome, you mean craptacular. As much as you might have loved it at the time, Pokemon Red is a badly made, featureless, buggy, hollow, ugly game in comparison to the current generations. Or heck, even in comparison to its direct sequel generation! And the nostalga factor really only comes in properly when playing it, not when watching someone else play it.

Wow, you're such a Debbie Downer. Yeah it's old, but that's sort of the point. It's still fun, but if you want to be pretentious just do FireRed. It's a game we all grew up with and it would be fun to do a wacky Let's Play of it.

I like screenshot LP more because there's more imagination involved with it. I can imagine the character's voice and imagine how he or she is feeling.

Video LP mostly consists of some person with a geek voice throwing bad jokes at you. You actually get to think more when doing a screenshot LP.

Actually, I was thinking: since the second time you face the Elite four, every one of their Pokemon gets bumped up 15 levels (Cynthia gets a bloody Level 76 Garchomp!), and since I really don't want to have to spend ages grinding, and since we'll already have seen everything the Elite Four has to offer (it really is just the same Pokemon made stronger, with better moves), I thought of a better way to end the LetsPlay.

Fortunately, they mostly rely on fighting moves, so ghosts have a distinct advantage over them.


Especially ghosts that can call forth a ridiculousl amount of electricity!


Actually, even against a one-hitting ghost, Heracross still nearly killed him off!

4 vs 3 now, I'm marginally ahead!


Statement regarding Penguins and Fucking.

I'm at the advantage here... but not by much. Water is one of the 5 types that Magnezone doesn't have a resistance again!


Best bet here is to use Rain Dance to make Thunder a 100% accuracy move, and absolutely demolish it with him and Machineria! Just as long as he doesn't die by the next atta-

Good thing that I'm at the Pokemon League right now, or I'd be really outraged at Machineria levelling up yet again while the others are back at level 44s and 45s!

Although I'm really surprised that Machineria only learns Discharge at Level 50! Pokemon like Magnezone learn it at level 40, and that's a powerhouse as it is (weaker Pokemon generally learn moves at a lower level; Pachirisu learns it at 26)!

Err... it might be confusing why that just happened. Basically, before PsyGuy went down, I used a revive on Roosevelt. Which went down. But before that, I used a revive on.... yeah, it went through a series of revives and one-hit KOs to get here.


Aaaaand, just like you expect from a Snorlax, it uses Rest! Goddam!

Rest is also the reason I didn't use Toxic on it. Unlike Roost and Recover and other such moves, Rest also removes the status effect too. Making it an utter BAST of a move on Pokemon with a really high defence, such as Metagross!


Fortunately for me, it also takes a total of three turns to do. More than enough time to switch Pokemon and pummel that fat-booty into oblivion!


And that's probably the last time we ever see a Snorlax too. Aw.


And also Yay! This is probably the best point in the game to be gaining levels!
