just because you don't have to worry about what people think of you doesn't give you a reason to be rude. when you travel abroad, do you act like an asshole, just because you know that you wont be seeing these people ever again?
No, but that's because being rude IRL has an ACTUAL EFFECT on people. You're free to ignore me here, because this is all just text on a screen.
'IRL' is a stupid term. You do not instantly cease existing in reality as we perceive it whenever you log onto a computer. Even when you're on the computer, you're still 'in real life'. You're hiding behind a weak shield, because strangers are strangers. It doesn't matter if you're on the internet or in public, your behavior still affects people. You're still talking with real people, and you're still perceived as a jackass.
Also, while text is slightly easier to ignore than sound, we're really not at as much liberty to ignore you as you think. If you're like me and you try to read every single new post, then you are no more easily ignored than a douche who answers his phone in the middle of a movie.
Well you clearly don't like me, so why don't you just stop reading my posts? Would that not simplify your problems? Reading text requires a concerted effort on the part of the reader, as opposed to smells, sounds, or sensations, which are taken in automatically. Also, we've moved on from this topic. We're on underwater coitus now, try to keep up.
