i just want everyone to know that i bodaciously cannot hear the phrase 'upstanding members of society' without my brain auto translating it to 'upstanding members of society'. you've ruined me forever.

upstanding members of society are upstanding members of society and to say otherwise is tantamount to mild derision



Also what is your life like that you encounter "upstanding members of society" with any sort of frequency?

i live a simple life as a hermit in the mountains but somehow i still encounter the phrase 'upstanding members of society' at least four or five times a year
