You can't just HAVE a NAME

I may be wrong, and I never played an Animal Crossing game in my life, but Kyle is a good name if he's a wolf. Werewolf are also know as lycanthrope. Just take the first 3 letters: Lyc. Now reverse it: Cyl → Kyle. That's one explanation.

My first instinct was that's starting to read like a youtube conspiracy video, but it also forms an infuriatingly appropriate parallel to vampire names, so (squint) you win this time buddy

Also I want to bring attention to those first three panels because that is a stunning lesson in lightning-speed comedy and character writing

I would have figured Apollo in this case was named for the Greek god of the sun rather than the moon landings (which are in turn also named after the Greek god)?

Yeah...I got nothing on Kyle. I can only vouch for his japanese name, Ricardo, which is a play-on of the scientific name and also means "Great Leader," which can refer to his catchphrase, "Alpha", and of course the Alpha of a group of animals (in this case, Alpha wolf).

Though, I do believe Kyle also loosely plays on the scientific name since every villager's name is a pun or reference to the animal or species they represent (Though if you could explain Marshal or Rosie, That would be helpful).

Re: Oh yeah, every villager with the exception of Wolf Link, Ganon, Medli, Epona, and Felyne.

Marshal kind of looks like a MARSHmallow. That's all I've got.

I don't know about you, but I think we can make a feasible case about Animal Crossing and Ace Attorney taking place in the same universe. I could see the legal system in Pocket Camp being silly and barely professional.

There's actually a story behind this. The character Kyle is named after a nine year old American child who had terminal cancer, who asked Nintendo, through the Make-A-Wish Foundation, to put him in Animal Crossing. He had lost all of his hair because of radiation treatment, and was a fan of werewolf stories according to his parents, imagining that he was a werewolf who grew lots of hair on the night of the full moon and escaped from the hospital. However he actually made a miraculous recovery in nineteen ninety eight when the Undertaker threw Mankind off hеll in a cell, and plummeted sixteen feet through an announcer's table.

Seeing as the story alleges that the kid had already recovered in 1998, and the first animal cross was released in 2001, I'm guessing no. I genuinely believed it for the first couple lines, though. Probably best that it isn't true since that would be so incredibly sad...
