Hello! Went on a walk today, took some pictures. I went down a pathway that follows alongside an old railroad that used to run through the area. All the rails were pulled up and recycled when the railroad was shut down, but the railroad ties still remain, in varying states of decay.
Such as very decayed...

...not very decayed...

...and artsy-angled view of decay.

Also featuring the former base of one of those metal framework power line towers...

...and an old telegraph line pole! The rail runs along dozens and dozens of these, you can sometimes see the poking out through the brush and trees. They're usually quite low to the ground - this one is an outlier at about 10ft high? Most are under 5ft.

This is my favorite picture I took. There's an old table and benches someone placed along the side of the trail that are getting grown over.

After a mile or so of trail I saw a little pathway that wound away through the brush and down an embankment. So I followed it. It led to a small clearing and the bank of the river.

I turned around on the spot I took the picture above and took a picture of the clearing. At the time I had only seen the drum and some burned sticks on the ground. In reviewing my pictures I saw the graffiti on the tree to the right, and the memorial cross at the base of one of the left trees.

And lastly, a picture of a tree growing out of the middle of the trail.

JK the trail bends around it but it doesn't really look like it from where I was standing.
thanks for wasting your time reading my shit and looking at my horrible smartphone pictures
Ta-ra.
