We got more big news about MHXX yesterday from Famitsu.

I'll link to Gaijin Hunter to let him explain in more detail.

Each of the Fated Four have a Deviant now, which I'm sure we all saw coming. Also Congalala.

You can now set one of your Hunter Arts as an SP Art, which will send you and your teammates into SP Mode. SP Mode has some neat effects depending on your style. Additionally, Prowlers now have a Beast Mode, which is heavy on the melee and combos.

We got more info on Alchemy Style, which is....uhh.....complicated. Just watch. There's a lot to explain. It's got a lot of support ability and 3 Hunter Arts.

Damnit Capcom. I wasn't planning on getting Double Cross until now.

This reminds me that I bought Monster Hunter Generations but gave up on playing it within a week or two since there were other games I had to play att and I just can't handle playing MonHun with 3DS's control scheme anymore. Looking forward to see this released on the Switch in the west.

New details were announced last night:

-MHX (Generations) save data can be sent up directly from your 3DS to the Switch
-MHXX data can be transferred freely between 3DS and Switch for crossplay
-MHXX Switch local multiplayer is Switch only but online lobbies can include 3DS or Switch players
-Coming August 25th to Japan (no western release announced yet, would love to see an E3 announcement)
-Exclusive bundle in Japan announced, ~$325 gets you the system, the game, and a MH themed Switch Dock

So I'm betting that if there is a western release it'll be for both 3DS and Switch. Possibly staggered.

I have a dilemma, get the PS4 version next week or wait until the PC version because that's what all my friends are getting

I'll probably wait for a sale before I go and get Monster Hunter World myself.

Unless they Monster Hunter World Ultimate prior to that.

I got World for free due to shitloads of discounts and reward points, but I'm a bit ??? about it. This'll be the first MH I won't have friends playing alongside me and I haven't been able to play the demo/beta whatever to get a feel for the changes.

But if all else fails I also imported Double Cross and I still have Stories to get through.

Shits good. I started with Tri like a babby but I havnt missed one since. It feels so nice to do this with a real controller.

Sunk 30 hours into it already. Still in low-rank, but having a blast. Longswords are the best, and the Odogaron set is the coolest-looking set in the game.
