Coif is an english word, that's why.

coif
kwäf/Submit
noun
1.
a woman's close-fitting cap, now only worn under a veil by nuns.
2. NORTH AMERICAN (informal)
short for coiffure.

verb
kwäf/Submit
1.
style or arrange (someone's hair), typically in an elaborate way.
"her elaborately coiffed hair"

Ahh, this takes me back to the "Metapod, harden" days.

Close enough?
It is kinda silly how you can exit a really epic and or important battle and just go straight to Pokemon Refresh, because priorities.

It's a dumb joke based on the way English speakers tend to make up a word for large numbers.

We're all familiar with million, billion, trillion, etc, but sometimes for dramatic effect someone will say "I wish I had a bajillion dollars" or "kazillion dollars" or whatever.

It's a joke because "Brazilian" sounds like it could be a terrible joke way for an American to say a high number.

the joke is now explained, and therefore not amusing
