But every single metal gear thread is beyond complaining. This is 'make a new thread for this stuff' levels of recursion of a topic.

Yeah, it's annoying when a game completely ignores your effort like that. The one I will always remember is when in wolf among us, I kept restarting a scene with 4 dialogue options, trying to find one that wasn't really rude. There wasn't one. So I told the protagonist to say nothing... and then he says something rude anyway, because screw letting the player have any say in the actions of the protagonist in a game marketed as affected by the choices of the player. Dick move, Telltale, dick move.

I do like this one though.

... has Katie ever said if and when she'll be done with this type of comic? I'm just the slightest bit curious.

Indeed she has!

October 26th AZ Comic

"To celebrate Phantom Pain (read: realize I don't know what the plot of MGS is anymore), I've been replaying all the Metal Gear games in chronological order. I hope you're excited for six months of nothing but comics about METAL GEARRRRR" - Katie, October 26th 2015.

So yes, Katie tells us the Metal Gear comics will last until april 2016.

I disagree on two points.
1: Complaining multiple times, or several people complaining once each is not "beyond complaining". It is just several people complaining. The nature of the act does not change because more than one person is doing it.
2: They read the comic, and then they had emotions about that comic, and then they talked about that emotional reaction. That is not remotely an off topic discussion.

I bolded the important part for you. The complaining isn't specific to the comic they just read, but the comics in whole.

And I'm not even asking for a "complain about metal gear comics quarantine" thread. A general stickied "Awkward Zombie meta" would do just fine.

Actually, you did not bold the important part. You bolded the blatantly incorrect part. Both The Strong Silent Phenotype and Thicker Than Water's forum threads lacked complaints about unrelated comics. Thus making your bolded statement both incorrect in the "every single" sense, and also incorrect in that this is the first time it has come up in new comic discussion threads in a month.

What you said in this comment however was the relevant part. You are right that the complaints in this thread are completely unrelated to the specific comic being discussed. Now able to see your point, I agree that the complaining is off topic for the dicussion of Worth A Shot.

I feel the problem is that yes, voicing complaints is great, but is there actually any belief that complaining about the comics will get Katie to draw something else? Last I remember, AZ is based on what Katie's playing, so like...if she's only playing METAL GEARRRRRRRRRRRRR then she's only gonna draw METAL GEARRRRRRRRRRRRR and that's just gonna be that. The complaining is moot.

I try not to get involved in any kind of debate or argument on forums, I don't think anyone is like, gonna take me seriously and at worst I just end up accidentally fanning the flames.

But meh...it's worth a shot :3c

The Metal Gear comics will probably just stop at 4/Rising/Survival, might as well just wait it out at this point considering we're almost down with the series anyways.

Besides, wasn't V the only game that actually got like, a ton of comics? I wouldn't be surprised if 2 and 4 got like, 4 comics each at most.

My stance about MSG comics: I think it is somewhat funny that Katie both specified that the comics about MSG would last until april 2016, and also did so in a manner that implied comical exageration and they might not last that long. That mildly amuses me.

That's the extent of my feelings on the matter.

I'm not personally interested in them. There are a couple good ones, but the general subjects and art style isn't that personally appealing to me, so I've already stopped routinely reading this comic once while they have been going on. I might do so again, but I don't have any particular feelings about any of that. Webcomics have years-long arcs I don't feel like reading all the time. Doesn't stop me reading tons of webcomics, I'll just skip out on the ones i find boring and check in later. Even if I did stop reading this comic again, unless I give up webcomics altogether (unlikely), I'll probably give it another chance someday down the line. And even if I don't, that wouldn't translate into annoyance. When a restaurant doesn't serve food any food I can eat, I will not go there, and I'll tell others with similar dietary requirements as myself not to go there. But unless the staff was personally exceptionally rude to me, I wouldn't hold a grudge. I don't mind that a person or place occasionally does not cater to my tastes. Isn't their job to do things that appeal exlusively to me.

However, this subject was a bit sore for me because it reminded me of several other forums where I have seen "off-topic" used to... I was about to say "censor", but I feel that word gets overused and I don't want to contribute to that. Starting again. I have disturbingly often seen "off-topic" used to remove discussions from view despite being more on topic than a lot of things that very regularly goes unchallanged in the same space, often for nakedly ulterior motives, and was therefore a bit sensitive about it. Then Loyle pointed out that these complaints can take the shape of not critsizing a specific comic but instead several other comics, which I could agree with as off-topic. This assauged my worries somewhat.
