Yes, they do. They always will. I used to come from a forum that did that rampantly, way back in my childhood, and I know, without a doubt in my heart and soul, that Sonic OCs are an eternal, ancient evil that will never leave.

When that game comes out I imagine some pretty terrible stuff will happen.

Compared to other options like re-introducing oldies like Shadow the crawling in my skin-hog or Silver the It's no use!-hog or introducing a completely new character that everyone will revile anyway, I dare say this is basically the lesser of two (or in this case, three) evils.

I actually haven't played a Sonic game with Silver in it.
I have no idea what his character is supposed to even be, but from what I hear people say he sounds like albino Shadow.

Lately I've felt like I should be more openminded about this topic, but every time I think about it I find myself cringing on the inside.
I'm not even sure why I just feel like I should dislike it, because I don't. Being able to create your own character in a Sonic game seems to be a good idea from a gameplay standpoint, and an extra playable character is fine by me as long as the game keeps it sensible.
I think I just didn't expect the Sonic OC fanbase to basically become mainstream, and this whole deal is throwing me for one heck of a loop.
