Just got this a few weeks back. It's taken over my commutes to and from uni, and endangered the rest of my free time as well.

I'm still yet to see my first Winter. Just forked out for the first house expansion and repaired the minecarts though. My end goal is to have a functional slime farm.

Want a good tip? Work on your fishing in autumn on the lake next to the mountain. If you have the minecart up, you can just load up with bait and catch some good stuff that doesnt fight much in there ^^

Some days Ill just fish all day. Feels awesome. :)

Thanks for the tip! I have yet to get any good whatsoever at fishing. I guess that's what I'll be practicing next time I get around to upgrading my pickaxe.

Fishing gets easier as you level up and your bobber bar gets less tiny. I'd personally recommend focusing on completing the community center stuff. Ideally you'll have a working greenhouse early enough to grow stuff besides winter forage during the snowy seasons, because otherwise you'll have plenty of time during the cold months to level your fishing and explore whatever chunks of the caves you might not have gotten to yet. Not much to do during that chunk of the year besides work on relationships, mining and fish.
