The Summer Games thing is coming to a close soon, and the special cosmetic items are leaving with it. I have to say that I do understand where they were coming from when they decided to to make the items only attainable through time (leveling up) or cheddar (buying the loot boxes). The explanation they gave was that they wanted the event and its items to feel special, and that's an admirable goal. They didn't want people buying everything with the in-game currency and then going "Sombra when?!?1?" for the next 6 days. I've seen the same thing happen in quite a few other games: Power-gamers devour the brand new content, get their fill in short order, and then get antsy. There has to be a better way, although I can't think of one that would allow them to accomplish their goal; making the items cost an exorbitant amount of currency would have still had people crying foul, and letting people outright buy each item with real cheddar would diminish the special-ness of a Summer Games skin you got through the RNG.

The Bastion short was nice, but holy hell am I hype for the new Reinhardt skin. It looks dope as hell.

Didn't get any of the Olympic skins but I have 100% German Power which is better than all of those combined.

I only got two boxes the entire time. Probably because I only played about one match a day and maybe 10 days out of the whole event. They seriously nerfed the XP you get from VS AI. :T Fortunately I have pretty much all the skins and whatnot I care about for basically everyone.
