There's been a thunderstorm every other day lately, it's great. I live on top of a mountain and it makes the lightning strikes a much bigger echo, it's unlike anything I had heard before.

My apartment is small enough to where I can run my AC 24/7 to fight the 90-100 degree Indy summer and not break the bank with electric bills at the end of the month.

Counting my blessings.

Decided I'm moving to Texas after I get enough cheddar saved up. I'll get to be closer to my best and closest friend, and I have some family there, as well. I just need to get out of this town, it has run it's course.

Also I'm moving back in with my parents because they really need some financial help, and paying them rent is waaaaay cheaper than where I am at now, since I won't be buying this house anymore. Hopefully I will be able to pay off my car and get a pretty decent savings relatively quick.
I'm so excited to be able to see my friend every day I cannot overstate it.

This week at work went by very nicely. I worked 14 hours over the weekend to finish last week's task and I wasn't completely done, but I couldn't start this week's task right away because I was waiting for the analysts to make up their minds, so I had plenty of time to finish the previous one during regular work hours. We're also all asked (not required) to work tomorrow since there is a major release coming up. The team leader said he'd bring donuts and order pizza for everyone tomorrow, sweet.

The way my job works, since I worked last weekend and I'm working tomorrow, I've earned over 4 days of paid holidays just this week. Holy shit!

Yeah yeah we all know everybody poops, there's a book.

But in all seriousness, I am too young to understand the importance of paid holidays, but GOOD FOR YOU!

it means you don't have to work but you still get paid for that day. it's fantastic

my best friend is here and it's been fun, we ~did houston~ the past couple days (still have the museum to hit up bc it closed before we got out of the zoo yesterday) but today is just a Chill day to hang out and watch movies and articulate some skeletons

we also did some skinning last night it was wonderful to be able to gush about how cute skinned paws are with someone. kyle is accepting and supportive but he isn't quite as enamoured with the processing as i am lmao.

Hopefully you have a better experience working there than I did. But then, the store I worked at was near an upper middle-class neighborhood, and most of the people who shopped there were shitty folks. That alone wasn't so bad, but too many people I worked with had a habit of not carrying their weight.

So, what department are you expecting to go into?

I applied to like four different ones too (Cashier, Sales Department, Operations, etc.) but this is the first one they actually contacted me back on

Also, I'm trading my friend a Yoshi for his Wii Fit Trainer amiibo and since he's a huge fan of Sonic I'm painting it blue. I'm also considering sculpting the shoes to match because why not.

I am sculpting a Yoshi/Sonic OC y'all, this shit is rad.

Why make trillions when we could make... Billions?

I'm not completely certain why I thought of that line.

Just bought about $100 of mineral specimens and crystals because I have the most mature priorities and don't at all spend time basking in a horde of shiny earth materials like a dragon.

You totally should, though. It's spiritually uplifting. Brings you one step closer to achieving Nirvana.
