unfunny waste of space, time and resources aside, what do you guys think is the most balanced character? I feel it's Pharah, she fullfills her role very well in the right hands, but she has counters and counterplays and her damage isn't that absurd either, usually needing 3 rockets to kill most characters.

pharah and 76 seem like the more purely balanced characters to me, they both do have their counters but they're also just... overall viable? they're never a big ISSUE for the other team but they can survive and do their job for way longer than most and fill roles that other characters do better but they can help with.

76 was my other pick yeah, I definitely think he's balanced but his kit is versatile and with good aim his damage output is insane so I can see why someone might have a bit of an issue with that.

i can see that but a lot of characters do the same damage as 76, it's just that he does it while being also kinda hard to kill for a 200 health character. you don't really wanna fight a 1v1 with a 76 because if they keep their health up and can land those rockets then you're just gonna die.

but the second you bring in a teammate, it becomes really hard for 76 to keep up and it's usually time for them to bail.

Speaking of 76, I played a match on Dorado: Attack where we all happened to insta-lock Soldier 76 within the first 3 seconds. It was glorious. We got the payload within the last 10 meters in about a minute and a half, but then their team switched to counter us and we refused to switch out of the 6 man, so we ended up losing. I think we could have won if we had coordinated our ults, but I couldn't get the rest of the team to save their's and wait :/.

Bout time someone nerfed our lunchtime-shooting cowboy.

I'm glad for the nerfs, as I can learn to stop relying on right click and start properly aiming to kill at the head, but still can shred apart the annoying Tracers.

Man, I stop playing for one day, and people are like level 150 already, this is what I get for taking a break.

I just hit 19. I'm taking it slow.

I was thinking, if they do introduce competitive mode, I think they need to introduce a scoreboard for that. It's pretty important for a competitive game to be able to accurately gauge your performance relative to the other players.

I hit 21. I'm not deliberately taking it slow, I just mostly play VS AI games which only give you about 800-1200 EXP.

I'm taking a few days break from the game to kind of get a reset on the game. I realized I was taking it too seriously and not having any fun, which is definitely not what the game is about. I need to stop worrying about team comps and start thinking "How can I make this fun for me."

My method is for not taking the game too seriously is, every so often I just play whatever the game randomly hovers over when you first get into hero select. "Why is it showing me Reaper... ah what the hell why not"

Also I occasionally play on Brock from Cockfighting Society's computer, so I'm getting okay at this game now.

I have to say, the first point on Hanamura is complete cancer to attack into. If your team is uncoordinated and the enemy has dual Torbjorn or Torbjorn + Bastion, all you can do is spam through the big door until the 5 minutes run out. It lacks a real flanking option. Occasionally you can manage to squeeze through the opening up top without getting torn to shreds, but then you're stuck in no man's land with no way for your team to help you.

Other maps when you get shut out you can usually still find some route to sneak through and have some fun with, but Hanamura just feels so pointless.
