I've never played Fire Emblem but it seemed obvious to me that a big strong guy would have low accuracy and miss, especially against a little guy the comic specifically mentions is fast. Seems, if not common sense, then at least video game common sense.

Oh, the joke is very logical. But it really only works on an emotional level. Either you're some sort of jerk who gets off on people looking silly for the very inconvenient troubles they face, or you've been in a situation where this effect has been very frustrating for you, and making fun of the big guy is catharsis. Even though this is mostly confirmation bias.

My apologies for sounding argumentative. It's just really starting to come off as people "not getting it" are somehow wrong and should feel bad about it. Such sentiments I take exception to.

Get it? Anyone?

I'm disgusted at how few people here play Fire Emblem. Can't you just take a few days out of your eternal cycle of Grand Theft Auto and Fallout to play other games out there?

What if I played neither of those?

Oi, I'm shocked and appalled as to how few people have played Metroid, but you don't see me complaining about it. People can play whatever games they want holmes, you shouldn't care about what they play.

Just gonna say, Nintendo really needs to show Metroid some more love.

Metroid is comparatively way underhyped when looking at Fire Emblem.

Fire Emblem is a.slow, turn-based tactical RPG with permadeath, while Metroid is a skill-based platform shooter with aliens and explosions and stuff. You'd expect way more hype around the latter since the fun is handed to you from the moment you boot the game compared to Fire Emblem with its slow buildup of tutorials and the real fun mostly waiting until mid-to-late game.

Metroid just feels like it would have a more broad appeal, disregarding story.

And when you include the story, you have a race of very religious scientists (their religion is SCIENCE!) who get into shenanigans involving resilient parasitic vampires and radioactive magic space goo.

I disagree. Nintendo needs to give Kid Icarus some love. It's only gotten 1 sequel 25 years after Of Myths and Monsters. Thanks Sakurai.

With that in mind, an Ice Climber reboot would be nice, especially with the co-op stuff Nintendo has been doing.

Explorative 3D platformer with co-op, mountain climbing and polar bears. So much could be done with that.

Are we talkin' games that need love?

Because I'd love to find out if Boktai 3 is canon or not. Lunar Knights is kinda mutually exclusive with it, due to the whole Ratatosk situation...Other'n that I agree with more Metroid love.

Yeah. But I'd love it if K-Town made a comic 'bout Uprising. Also Kid Icarus is the oldest of these 4 franchises. I think.

    Ice Climber - January 30, 1985
    Metroid - August 6, 1986
    Kid icarus - December 19, 1986
Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon and the Blade of Light - April 20, 1990

Close enough?

I'm occasionally sad that nobody ever talks about Monster Tale for the DS. I freakin' LOVE that game it's like Metroid plus Cockfighting Society izzokewl! I REALLY wanted it's protagonist in smash.
Of course I knew nobody played it, so I voted for Waddle Dee instead BUT STILL.

I would try to get into Metroid like I did Kid Icarus and I kinda want to, but at this point I think it's too late for me.

AAAAAND I agree with the idea for an Ice Climber reboot. No ideas for it on my end, though... :/
