Okay, I missed this part when I first read your comment, and it baffles me. Are people seriously calling the localization team irresponsible for this change? Like if they change this one term, they obviously have no idea what it means and they're ruining the story and all that foolishness?

I have never heard anyone ever decry a localization like that. It's a serious belittlement of the localizers' ability. You (the people saying this, not you personally princess brothel) don't even know the story yet; how can you accuse the people who have been working alongside the creators of the game since day one of not knowing the story?! Maybe they know something about the story that you don't, where "exoskeleton" is actually a meaningful translation with nuance you don't know yet.

God that rustles me off so hard. This game is going to be fantastic and people nitpicking at nothing are driving me up the wall here.

Chuggaaconroy posted a video about beta content and man it's a shame the Bionis Shoulder was scraped. It looked like a really fun place to explore and the village there looked really nice. Also beta items, but that's not as cool.

I got to Gaur Plain, it reminds me a lot of that one place in ffxiii that had the everything. Also who the hell names their kid Juju?

I have a theory that Juju's parents had a Nopon in high regard who was tasked with naming him.
As such he has a Nopon name.
Among Bana, Pokapoka, Dedeba or Berryjammy, Juju isn't as bad as it could be.

Or Sharla could've named him when she was a child but I like the Nopon theory that I made up this minute.

So X comes out in 2 days for everyone not in Japan; everyone get hype.

(Seriously, this is the most excited I have been for a game launch in years.)

Anyway, I actually made a bunch of arrangements for this. Got Friday and Saturday morning off, meaning my first session can be a good long one followed by another good chunk the next day. Got a new TV so I wouldn't be stuck reading small text on a CRT anymore (had to do that for Dragon Age Inquisition and it sucked). Gonna' make me a nice pot of tea and just sip on it while playing.

It's gonna' be a good day.

I've been looking at a lot of pre-release stuff for X, especially pertaining to censoreship, and there's one option that I haven't seen mentioned: modding.

If you just want the bust slider for customizing your female avatar, use a mod. If it's about the principle of not having censorship in the first place, then refuse to play the game without the mod.

Why has no one thought of this yet?

Because hacking the Wii U isn't a current option for the general public. Even hacking the 3DS and Vita still needs a lot of work.

Got the game in the mail this morning, and managed to play it for the rest of the day. Really loving it so far.

Too bad I couldn't use any of the miiverse functions yet, though.

In hindsight, that should've been obvious. I feel dumb now.

Hey, I've got a CRT. But the dev team has me covered, with a fast way to copy the "action" screen to the gamepad, for when I need to read. Pressing (-) is usually the button, but that's fine. Speaking of buttons, many are weird (Press stick to run, R+B to auto-run, ...).

As far as localization goes, the swimsuits now look a bit silly, but they're fine. The breast slider cut is really dumb IMO, but at least that's the only cut. Finally, the text shows no sign of error, and the voices are very good - that said, I'm not far into the game (right before the quest that can't have Irina and Gwin), so I didn't get a good emotional show to judge.

Got it this evening but was dead from finals, going to start it up in a few minutes provided there's no updates.

Also, someone in my area's distribution center for gamestop stole like a big shipment of XCX standard edition games and started selling them on ebay, so all of the stores in my area only had the limited editions that people pre-ordered and there's a lot of people rustled that their standard edition pre-orders aren't coming in until stock can be re-allocated.

Apparently they caught the guy already but they're not sure when they'll get the copies back?

What is going on with this shit.
