Mega end-game spoiler. I don't know what exactly to say to be certain you're safe from this spoiler, It's the final boss I fought on a regular Pacifist run, so if you've fought it you'll be safe from spoilers.
HOLY LORD. Flowey is nightmare inducing. I mean, he wasn't that bad for me to fight, I play Touhou so I'm used to Bullet hells but daisies.

no, he's not

just for clarification on a point because it's kind of confusing and i'm not super sure everyone gets it because it took me a while

there's three end states
Pacifist
Neutral
Genocide

beating pacifist unlocks true pacifist. true pacifism is not a different ending based on doing everything or whatever, it's based entirely on your LV being 1, and your EXP being 0. as long as that's the case, you only need to beat pacifist in order to unlock the ability to continue into true pacifist. "true pacifist" does not refer to a playstyle, but rather the fact that a normal pacifist run has to be continued past the standard end of the game, as the "true" ending.

I just named them Final Boss since after you beat them, you reload and go back to the last save point before the fights. Which many games do after you beat their final boss.
Besides, at the point I beat them I didn't know that there was another boss to beat, I assumed I'd fight the same bosses and the ending would play out differently. It's easy to see why I called him Final Boss.

Anyways I'm gonna do a Genocide run next.
I can barely do a mean guy playthrough of the Dragon Age games.
This is gonna crush me isn't it? :'D

I got the true ending and now I'm never touching the game again (unless an expansion comes out)

Ha, I knew it, I went back before fighting Asgore and went to Undyne's house and made AWESOME food with her and everything, then I used the Mysterious Key and found Mettaton's ghost's house. I think Alphys and the True Lab is the only thing left and those definitely require beating the game the first time.

there's confirmed to be comics coming out, and more than likely a whole other game set in the same world

I just tried to start my genocide run with the name Frisk.
I didn't know it wouldn't let me continue after Toriel. Now I have to kill her again.

I'm too much of a softy to play the genocide route myself, so I'll just draw Sans instead. He's one of my favorites.

I got up to Undyne so far on genocide.
Honestly I recommend doing it, if only just to see other sides of characters personalities.
Let's just say I really like Undyne's character a LOT more after their Genocide battle.

Edit: Okay now I don't recommend doing the run, unless you want to fight a ridiculously hard boss.
Like seriously, why make a fight this hard and change the damage mechanic?
When I bought this I wasn't expecting difficulty of this level. The fights have now went from fun to completely frustrating.
Other games may hand you a difficulty spike, this one blasts you a difficulty spike in the face with a cannon.

Edit2: I have now fought this boss and died 25 times. I've not even gotten to the halfway point of beating it.
This boss has just crushed my love of this game, I don't think I'm gonna be playing it anymore.
If it was an optional superboss sure, I'd be fine. But the fact it's a mandatory fight and you can't finish the game without beating it is dumb.

you can finish the game without fighting that boss

you just can't finish the game and exterminate everything in the process without exterminating that boss as well.

you were warned that you were gonna have a bad time, and lo and behold

Well there wasn't anything telling me that Genocide was insane difficulty mode, I'm even more surprised that the True Ending's final boss is far easier than a regular Endings final boss.
My point is that they give you a boss that is far more harder than any other with players having no idea they're not gonna be able to finish the game because of having no warning about how hard this particular path will be.
People playing the first time with no deep research might end up doing the genocide run first. They get to that boss who's way too hard. They don't bother playing other endings because they may think the other bosses may be just as hard.

To me it just gives the game this sense of being unbalanced. Being hard for the sake of being hard like IWBTG or something.
With IWBTG, I'd know from the start what I'm getting into, it's unrelentingly difficult, and everyone knows it.
With Undertale, everything else is fair, except this one thing. And that just really puts me off playing it again.

Then don't play the genocide run, dude. It's SUPPOSED to be harder than the rest of the game. I believe a proper course of action would be to 'get good'.

Better to save it for last anyway because if you try to get a pacifist ending after you finish a genocide ending, the epilogue becomes corrupted.

Anyway I finished my drawing. It's majorly spoilery for the Genocide path so I'll just stick it behind a link.

I already did the Pacifist run, I did True Pacifist.
I already know if I do neutral the Final Boss isn't gonna be different than the Pacifist boss before True.

I didn't know that before I started doing it, the game waited until I had done almost everything before dropping that bombshell on me.
This is what's annoyed me the most, I've went all this way for absolutely nothing.
That's my problem with it. A game shouldn't wait that long before telling you how hard it's gonna be.

And "You're gonna have a bad time." is too vague to gauge how difficult something is. Hell, on Animal Crossing a "Bad Time" is when you trip and fall over.
This boss would more likely fit you having a nightmarish time rather than a bad one.
