That is pretty much what everyone in that class was imagining.

Did I post in this once? No matter. I have new plans! If the future gets here soon enough, I will be a cyborg. But not just any cyborg!
I lost my train of thought. Anyway, I will definitely be the best. You others will have to settle for second place.

One of my friends is having a tough time with his family (understatement of the year), and a few other friends are all trying to band together to get a block of apartments together. My friend is worried he can't float his part of the bills by himself and knows my current living plans aren't ideal either and wants to see if I can go in with him for a room.

Problem being that it's a 2 year contract rather than 1 because it's made for more long-term thinking (though you can sub in other people, it's just got major bullshit and your names will likely still be tied to the lease, which is a red flag) and neither of us want to commit that long with me graduating after a year and potentially finding a job overseas or moving for further education and him potentially being contracted out to another part of the country himself. It's something we both need because living at home has worn out it's welcome, but neither of us really wants to make the leap and end up screwed by it, and a solo apartment isn't looking good with his current commute time and my transitive job prospects with having to drop work constantly for family matters.

Doesn't also help that I really like him and it's been paining me to see him going through this and part of me wants this just to be closer to him even though a relationship that I'm looking for is never going to happen, so I'm both scared of him staying where he is and scared I'm going to fuck things up somehow making the jump.

Chances are the other friends are going to fall out of the deal too because the 2 year thing is freaking everyone out and as long as a couple of people don't commit the plan is going to be abandoned, but I wish I knew what the best choice would be for this.

So far only future plans are to get out of this place while I have my sanity. And continue to work towards starting a webcomic or book series, uggggggh

For most of my life I've thought I'd be a scientist. Probably astronomy. I still think I might, but I also think I might be a historian of some sort. It's really interesting.
