it's how they operate

they rely almost entirely on fear to conquer. they commit massive atrocities, then spread the word, so everyone is afraid of them before they even fight. nipton bodaciously just rolled over and let them do it out of pure fear.

the point the game is making, specifically, is that's just how the legion operates. you can't surrender, you just are going to die. it's not about conquering the town, it's about sending the NCR a message.

Beat old world blues today, killed the Think tank and Dr. Mobius. I was jumped by assassins on the way back to Novac with all my loot.

why would you kill them D:

They wanted my brain, and to run experiments on the wates.


I also failed the speech checks.

The Legion seems pretty rustled about those guys I killed and keeps sending Assassins after me. These guys are actually pretty though to deal with.

As long as I stay in legion armor I can get the storehouse key, unfortunately I haven't made it far enough to get access to the fort.

yea they actually are no joke. all i can say is quick save/quick load and engage with a sniper from way the fuck away if you have the file saved BEFORE you run into them.

I'm actually ok with the Legion again now since Caesar is apparently the most trustworthy and naive person in the world.

Some Mr. House or Yes Man run i want to go into the fort and cottonwood cove and murder everyone there except for Caesar himself before i get the Mark.

"Hey, go blow up Mr. House's shit."

"I bodaciously murdered every one of your troops. You're basically Caesar's Posse at this point."

"Sure, sure. Now go blow up the shit."

Think about it, decades spent surrounded by people who treat him like he's a god, not a single one willing or able to speak against his wishes. The Legion stresses absolute loyalty above all else. Combined with a healthy dose of brain tumor making him somewhat less rational, it's not hard to believe that Caesar bodaciously cannot conceive of the Courier betraying him.

so now will the effects of the courier be felt over in fallout 4?

It'll probably be slightly referenced, just like the spattering of Brotherhood outcasts in Fallout 3.

Also I don't think any New Vegas characters are in Fallout Shelter, which grinds my gears.

Fallout 4 apparently takes place around the exact same time period as Fo3, which is 15 yearsish before New Vegas. So I'd say no probably not.

there's a whole 0 new vegas influence in fallout shelter. basically the only thing not from/in fallout 3 is garvey, and he's from fallout 4, a game that isn't even fucking out yet.

it's real lame.
