If you're referring to Multiplayer, that's never gonna work. My computer doesn't have internet, so I can never play games online. I had to use a USB drive to get the game on my computer in the first place.

I didn't think to use potions against the Mimic since it's not a boss, but that's probably my only chance of beating it. I'll see if it works!

Have you set up an arena to fight him on? A few layers of wooden platforms with enough room to run side by side and then the only thing you really have to worry about are his drones.
I've used one for every boss so far (except the WoF, for obvious reasons). Building it at ground level probably wasn't the best idea for going up against The Destroyer, though...

Also, Jester arrows would probably be better since they have piercing and could hit multiple parts at a time.
Actually, the Holy Arrow/Daedalus Stormbow combo can (apparently) destroy The Destroyer in just a few seconds. The Stormbow makes arrows fall from the sky instead of firing from the bow itself, and Holy Arrows summon falling stars every time they hit an enemy, basically letting you rain death from above.

Potions are mandatory for melee runs, which are arguably the hardest to do in Terraria. If you want to have an easy time making them, find an alchemy table in the dungeon, they give you a 33% chance not to use ingredients when you make a potion, what kind of run are you doing, Ranger, Summoner, Mage, or Warrior?

My bad, coulda swore you said hellfire arrows in your last post. Yea, Holy arrows would probably be better. And yea, definitely make potions. Ironskin, Endurance, and wrath potions make a huge difference.

Do you have a nimbus rod and something to summon? Then you can beat it. The destroyer is cake if you do it right. You don't even need a bunch of platforms. What I do is go up high, place a two or three platforms and then place wood around that. The destroyers lazers can't pierce blocks and If you're high, it will just be below you. I usually put down a heart lantern, campfire, and pool of honey for life regen.

Then you just place the clouds from the nimbus rod below the platforms where they will hit the destroyer constantly. You can pop out to shoot at it if you want. Watch out for the mini eyes with lasers.

Speaking of mech bosses, I personally have better times beating each boss with a different style.
I do challenge runs sometimes, one I did was Arrow Weapons only. So only ranged weapons that used Arrows as ammunition.
Skeletron was actually the easiest of the 3 using them.
On my first time playing Terraria I first beat Destroyer with Melee and a Spear.

The Twins can go to hell though. Still trying to get past them on my Magic only character.

Just watched Pedguin's past broadcast of his mage-only fight against the twins, and it seems he used crystal storm, and focused the fire breathing one first, then took out the lazer one afterwards. He also mirrored back to use the nurse(just dont despawn the eyes by being too far)

For that strat, it seems having magic power potion, and chugging mana pots is a must.

It was tough, but I beat The Destroyer! It's MEGASHARK TIME BABY!!! I should probably challenge The Twins next, but meh, I'd rather grind up towards a Cell Phone and an Ankh Shield.

I beat the twins using an Uzi, an endless pouch of Musket shots(3996 Musket bullets at a crystal ball), and a gravitation potion, the gravitation potion is so useful if you have wings as a safeguard from fall damage. It makes dodging the eyes extremely easy.

Just a heads up. If you're on expert mode, I'd advise against getting the Megashark. Its DPS falls off really quickly in expert mode since everything's defense is a lot higher. It's not too bad against the twins though.

Finally got all the achievements for this game on steam. I wasn't a fan of achievements like Sick Throw, which required beating the moon lord a ton until he dropped that yoyo. The fishing quests were the worse though. I managed to find a way around one fishing quest a day, but it still took way too long.
Funny enough, the last achievement I got was the groom one. I waited almost two Terraria weeks for a blood moon. My luck is the absolute worst.

I made a thing for growing herbs and stuff. My Dryad lives here. She fell off the side, but she's fine, she landed on grass.

Extra Edit:

I wouldn't make assumptions before the port is released.

For one thing, Terraria 3DS won't have stereoscopic 3D.

Do people really even care about the 3DS 3D settings? How could that benefit a 3DS Terraria port?
