I am continuing to love the Octobrush. Beakons and the Kraken on something this fast are hilarious. And Ninja Squid continues to be as fun as ever - someone approaches you, you can easily swim out the way and stab them in the back. Inkbrush is probably better for turf war but I still find myself doing better with the Octobrush in both formats.

New maps new weapons (FUCKING GATLINK GUN and a bucket) possibly new music? Get hype!

I'm surprised to see rollers listed so low as a whole, considering the Krak-On Splat Roller is the second most popular weapon overall. And I'm kind of annoyed Beakons aren't present in the list of subweapons, alongside Point Sensors and Disruptors. I can maybe understand the former two considering their support leanings, but Disruptors are much more offensive weapons - I'd argue if the Sprinkler earns a spot on that vote then so does the Disruptor.

I definitely agree on some of the popular ability choices though. Ninja Squid is hilariously helpful for aiding ambush attacks and avoiding trigger-pop flyin' chargers.

Top 3 worst stages lists port mackerel, but I like that one as a roller! I agree with the mall though, and those tarp areas in bluefin have screwed me over almost as much as my accidental suicides on bluefin.

Bluefin Depot and Port Mackerel are good stages IMO, but I really hate Arowana Mall and I don't get the love for Walleye Warehouse. Both stages allow you to trap the opposing team in their camp which means that not only can you do that to your opponents, but with a suitably good team on their side, they can easily do it to you. Other stages have a wide enough area or a raised area for spawn to where you can take them out without leaving spawn. For those 2 stages they just need to stay enough out of reach to be safe, and in ranked mode you really don't have the time to wait to take them out when the tower or zones are ticking away.

Moray Towers is really good and I really like Camp Triggerfish. Only other problem stage would be Saltspray Rig, but that's mainly because playing Splat Zones is complete hell without them putting a zone in the bottom part of the stage to balance out fortifying the "keep" at the top.

Splatling gun, Bucket weapon, 30 more levels of exp and tons of items in shops being added.

Too hyped for the new update.

Even though I'm still not even A, am probably gonna stick with brushes and have no friends to use the new features with because I NEED MORE CLOTHES FOR MY SQUIDKID.

I've been rank B- for such a long time now. It's so hard to climb up the ranks.. I've been trying to switch constantly between my clothing and weapons, but it doesn't help much.

I just hit rank B a few minutes ago. Tower COntrol is my favorite ranked mode.

I'm currently sitting at B or B+. I'm putting myself on a mini-hiatus until the update though.

The next Splatfest will have the scoring system adjusted as per the 2.0.0 update on Wednesday. Rather than being out of 300 points, they will now be scored out of 500 points, with 4x the win percentage in the multiplier.

hopefully this will counteract any of the problems with popularity being the major deciding factor.

That concerned me slightly given that we did not choose marshmallows for this Splatfest. Everyone knows which one is more popular. :I

Team Penguins here. Can't pinpoint what the popular opinion might be for us, but I do think it's good to weigh in wins more strongly than votes.

I haven't used any of my shiny chrome sea snails yet.

The BEST PART about the update is how pop flyin' your Inkling is when you win with a Splatling gun.
