Last thing for Iwata's mourning, I didn't know where to share this, and since this thread still has a bit of talk on Iwata, it seemed appropriate, I found this quote from Shigesato Itoi, creator of the Mother series.

That's a lot of animals. America is getting the cards in blind packs of six so expect ebay and amazon to explode with duplicate cards.

the good thing is that so far, it looks like the rate of getting certain regular villager cards will be consistent within the packs meaning you won't have the problem in Pokemon of getting a lot of repeating cards in very few packs opened (a problem caused by both a multi-tiered rarity system and a large number of cards per pack). The bad thing though is that like Pokemon, there are "rare" cards in the form of the special villagers like Tom Nook and Isabelle which have fancier cards and will likely be harder to get in a pack (maybe one guaranteed each pack but if there's 15-20 in a set...)

Hoping they sell them as sealed booster boxes somewhere. Might cut down on the cost a bit. Con only imagine how insane people are going to be going to stores to try to buy 20 packs the day they release.

Trading them will be insane though.

Was a bit hesitant to buy the game, but considering I'm a card junkie, I'll probably end up getting like 5 packs and try to leave it at that.

I think for now the Isabelle Amiibo is in an exclusive bundle with the Amiibo Festival game along with Digby for $60 unless other regions are different, though it'll probably be released seperately later like Green Yarn Yoshi and Regular SMS Mario.
