I, too, have fond memories of Sonic Adventure 2: Battle. But I really only like the City Escape level and Pumpkin Hill. Best levels.

Also I almost died when he started freaking out about Sonic's arm.

I loved Sonic Adventure 2, and I guess the video explains why. When I lost my game after already completing it, I bodaciously only got a new one just for the Chao Garden. Admittedly, I didn't hate the Find the Emerald and Mech stages, but I didn't necessarily enjoy them either. I really do remember having problems with the camera and things just like the video stated, but I do remember enjoying Knuckles' speed when it wasn't flinging me off platforms or into awkward spots.

I wonder if they put the Chao Garden back in, the games would be "good" again.

Knuckles' awkward speed did cause a few problems, but he was more than right about the camera. The camera was garbage.

But I did really enjoy that game. Also, my Chao > my friends' Chao.

So, you want to know why there's so many complaints about Arin in this thread, mostly by me in particular?

Well, thanks to this episode, we now know that he's a fucking hypocrite.

He idolizes the first Zelda game for its exploration and then turns right around and says that Mario 64 is "cryptic".

Gee, Arin, do you mind explaining how exactly you are able to know right from the start where to find all of the dungeon entrances and secret caves in Zelda 1?

Oh, that's right. You aren't.

I understand the complaints, what I don't understand is why you're still watching him.

Well, for one thing, I'm still subscribed because Steam Train et al have yet to disappoint me. For another, for being such a sack of shit in some games Arin does actually play some other games well, and Danny plays games pretty well too. I also like Game Grumps VS. I mostly like the banter and the stories they tell during the playthroughs. And to some extent I get smug satisfaction from things like watching Arin die by falling straight off the level and then blaming the controls.

I'm also getting a kick out of comparing a bad playthrough of Mario 64 to a trying-as-hard-as-possible playthrough of Mario 64 Chaos Edition (played by PeanutButterGamer)

I like Game Grumps when they don't talk about how much they hate whatever game they're playing. Or how much they hate games in general. On their let's play channel.

Really can't wait to hear nonstop about how much he hates this game.

I'm not gonna look through 95 pages so I'll just ask if anyone has mentioned ChipCheezum and General Ironicus. They're excellent LPers with Chip at the helm and Ironicus usually being the partner who sees the game for the first time through these recordings. Because of that his reactions are so genuine and the commentary very unforced. Chip is also just really good at editing and timing his commentary.
