Don't worry the game still has the worst armour designs I've ever seen and the otaku bait incest and pet-your-squad features! It's still garbage, just not garbage in new frontiers.

Wait so the game is bad?

No, it's good, with better map designs and more strategy than before. Only the knight/general's armor looks stupid, but let's be honest nothing will match Awakening's cavalier's toiletbowl neck.

More spoilers, but essentially no there's not incest.

Apparently the Avatar was adopted by Hoshido as well.

But yeah some of the armors look p. dumb.

Also I beat Awakening. I'll probably get Priam later but for now, I really don't give much of a shit about getting another Hero I won't use.

Marcato, you just got through with Awakening so I'll ask, do you think the toiletbowl neck armor on the cavaliers was the stupidest armor?

On a stupid armor design scale from 1 to high level female MMO armor, it's about at Kirin armor levels of dumb.

Like not the dumbest thing ever, but noticeable.

I always thought Great Knight enemy helms were pretty freaking awful.
I mean, the helmets look like a plate on top of a funnel.
Also knight armor may have been cool if they gave Awakening models a balanced body without stub feet. But alas, Hector looks bad and that is 2000% not okay.

I've never married Chrom with anyone besides the Avatar when I usually play, but I'm starting a male avatar file and I'm wondering if Maribelle would be a good option for him? I know he only has like four brides to choose from, but I'm just curious.

Marry Chrom and Sumia

Have supports about pie eating

Lucina dodges everything

As adorable as pie eating supports sounds, I'm not the biggest fan of Sumia, honestly... At least not with Chrom. Guess you could say I'm super picky about who I marry Chrom with.

Well according to the Fire Emblem Wiki, Maribelle as the mother gives Lucina the best growth rates for Magic and Resistance and the worst for Strength and Defense, so maybe if you wanted to reclass her into a magic user....?

Pair Chrom with Olivia (note, you have to have ZERO supports with any women AND you need to spend a bunch of turns with just Chrom and Olivia grinding support points on her recruitment chapter since marriage is right after)
Pair Robin (+speed, -whatever) with Lucina
Sanic Morgan

Plus Sumia has really good classes to pass down though which counter-acts Chroms shitty classes.

I rather like the new S-Support music for Fates.

Too bad there's no leitmotif for the Avatar like there was in Awakening.

(For those who don't know, a leitmotif is a musical construct used to represent a person, place, or thing. Robin has the Id tracks and the accordion(I think that's what it is???) as his/her leitmotif)

It might produce a decent War Monk Brady but I personally never cared about him. A Prince Inigo was always more enjoyable and I always liked physical units more, which Inigo fills out much better IMO
