You can do it, Kira! Let us know if there's anything we can do to help.

As for me, my primary stressor is that I'll be seen as a "fake" transwoman. I hear a lot about other transgendered people who stay up late and cry at night about growing facial hair or things like that, and I just.....don't. I mean, I don't like growing facial hair, or my voice, and I don't want my penis, but I'm not really WORRIED about it most of the time. I worry more about costs of transitioning, how people will react to me, and discrimination and violence, and most of all, that people will tell me that I'm not acting like a trans person "correctly".

That's my spiel Marcy.

The facial hair thing I don't mind all that much. Most people I've heard from just hate shaving in general as it is a guy thing to do.
Or pee sitting down cause it's more feminine.

I guess I need more trans friends to tell me I'm doing it wrong.

My parents....are okay with it!

I was stunned on how little of a reaction they had.

They just said okay. I answered some obvious questions. They said they love me no matter what.

I never expected this to go as smoothly as it did.
So amazing!

"I think there's no such thing as a sex change, it's just surgical genital mutilation."

Welp, time to stop browsing Imgur if shit like that is making it to the front page.

I consider myself straight, but is it weird that I'm not in any way disgusted by gay/trans/hermaphroditic (I believe the pc term is intersex) sex?

Or, to put it another way, I could experiment with things outside the norm, just no relatives, children, corpses, bodily wastes, vomit, animals, or anything that deliberately draws blood or results in death. There's probably others, but I can't think of them right now.

Not that I'm attracted to other men, it's just... maybe if I was with a girl who thought it was hot, so I'd do it so she could watch? I dunno. There's an "official" scale for it, I think it's called the Kinsey Scale or something like that.

No, I don't think that's weird. I mean, dicks don't gross me out or anything, either, but I'm not aroused by them at all.

And yes, it's the Kinsey Scale.

That's something I don't understand. Why the hell would a guy be grossed out by a penis? He (unless he's a pre-op ftm) has one, and probably plays with it on a regular basis.

Getting off is getting off. Unless someone's being coerced or used, and it's consensual, go for it (unless you're concerned about safety).

I'm not entirely sure if that was directed at me, but I'm still not a guy.

from the perspective of someone who appreciates a fine dick (and other parts, i'm not picky), it seems weird. there is the super macho persona that the straight-to-a-fault people try and pass off, which is "WOO HA VAG YEAH" and anything to do with dicks is sooooo gay. Because being gay means you like dick, and you know who else likes dick? Women do. You know what women aren't? Macho. therefore, straight guys who try too hard are grossed out by dicks.

Nah, it wasn't directed at you. It's more about what I had said earlier. Being in the bible belt, most guys around here are like "ew, a penis!" A bit ironic, since guys around here are always going on and on about their dicks.

Kinda reminds me of a question someone asked me: is it gay to suck your own dick? I said yes, but only because I didn't want to hear any more crap from the guy who asked it (older guy, typical redneck). Personally, I'd just consider it a form of masturbation. It's gay for a man to give another man a handjob, but not gay to give one to himself. So why should oral be considered different? Also reminds me of the pegging argument. If a woman uses a strap-on on a man, it's technically considered straight, since both participants aren't the same sex, but my brother thinks it's gay. Which is funny, because I asked a gay man what he thought of it, and he said it isn't. So... Booyah!

daisies, I think I may be a bit kinky. Huh. Guess I should think of a safe word.

One of my friends is a (semi-ex) fan fix writer who specialized in life/body swap stories, sometimes as crossovers. She hated doing male and female swaps because of "let's check out the boobies" and other cliches and offputting ideals and tended to write same gender swaps so the focus would be less on bodily differences and more on ACTUAL differences. People kept telling her that those stories were awful because "a guy became another guy and that's gay" and preferred stories where the guy became a girl even if it meant having sex with a man as a girl (which was apparently hot). Apparently having sex with a girl in another man's body is more gay than becoming a girl and having sex with her boyfriend.

It was always weird and contrary to her that people just completely shut down as soon as a penis came onto the table.

People notice what they want to notice.

In the average straight male mind its NOT DICK. So they think of dicks.
