So I saw an article for 5v5 online multiplayer for Fates/If.
http://mynintendonews.com/2015/06/25/fire-emblem-fates-will-have-5v5-online-multiplayer/
And it mentions some sort of "Fog of War" mechanic. Anyone know what that is?

A level with fog of war are the ones where everything is greyed out and units can only see in a small range. These levels usually emphasize the use of torches and thieves.

Oh yeah you're right. Fire Emblem games usually have a few core levels but the fog of war comes and goes. It wasn't in the gamecube and Wii games either. Hopefully Fates will have some common theme levels like the boats/boarding party, infiltrating a jail, climbing a mountain while dodging falling boulders, and others I can't remember. I think my favorite gimmick level from a fire emblem game was from Path of Radiance, the one where you had to cross the bridge to get to the female rider villain and the bridge was full of pitfalls. It's super frustrating but so satisfying once you beat it.

I liked the boat defense level in Awakening. You were surrounded and the enemy was really close to you, and your movement was limited by the gangplanks and such. Similarly, the level where you have to protect Tiki from all sides was satisfying.

Nohr will probably have the whole "whoops you're in a desert, your movement speed sucks" level.

daisies...I have the biggest urge to replay Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn. Hmm, I guess I need to hook up my Wii again.

Wait, they changed the wyvern knights to Pegasus knights? THANK THE GODS. Wyvern knights ALWAYS could insta kill my squishy units if a hit connected.
But desert maps still suck and there's the entire buried treasure BS you can't even know about without a walkthrough.

Okay yeah fuck enemy flyers.

But I loved my Wyvern Knights. It was a fun dynamic. Pegasus Knights were dodgy and double-hitting, could take a magic hit, but if they didn't dodge a physical strike it would hurt. Wyvern Knights were slower but with higher defence and strength, but magic would destroy them. I did enjoy using both.

Hopefully it's like that.

In addition to stats leaning towards that Misterme, Falcoknights have a new ability that lowers any magical damage done to them by 20 when they initiate the battle.

Also in an earlier post I accidentally said I was leaning toward Pieri instead of Camilla, whereas it was the opposite. Also with Japan time I'd like to confirm I'm picking Camilla.

Also also, since it was revealed that parallel seals don't reset your level to 1 I've been wondering how acquiring skills now works and it goes as such (spoilered in case learning mechanics is something you wanna do on your own): If you switch to a new class, you first get the base class's skills and then the new class's skills at a rate of 1 per level if you've reached the level necessary for them. So a paladin switching to an exorcist at level 12 would reach level 13 and get mag+2, then fortune at 14, then the first exorcist skill magic rally at 15, then get tomefaire at 16.

My god this game doesn't want to end. Which isn't a bad thing.

Oh you made it to the final boss? Good job, here's FIVE MORE CHARACTERS.

What exactly are you playing, New Mystery of the Emblem?
That actually had 4 useless recruitablr bishops at the very last level, and you needed to bring a bunch of crappy units that had no chance against fighting dragons.
But hey, Marth could finally use the Falchion so that's cool.

Think he means the spotpass characters in awakening. Prius, Gargle, Walmart, Eminem, etc. I'm pretty sure those were their names.
