Nobody trifles with the lesbians. B)

This is good news though!

Also I've been feeling more feminine lately! Nothing's really changed for me physically, I just feel more girly inside. I dunno if that even makes sense. I was feeling kinda bleh a little while ago.

No customers called me by the wrong pronouns at work today! I guess not shaving and looking like a total ragamuffin pays off? Lol

The SCOTUS ruling has turned my ordinary crowd of unpleasant customers into an even more unpleasant crowd, somehow.

First thing a customer says to me after I get on register is "Did you hear about the Supreme Court ruling?"
I'm like "Yeah! *grin* Finally th-"
"It's disgusting, isn't it?"

And like every fifth customer for the next 8 hours was like that. I also learned the term "shitpacker", which I had never heard before. And all other traditional alternative names for people who pursue homosexual relationships.

I'm sorry, Kentucky. You really want to pretend it's 1820 but you're going to have to get over it.

i really only had one person who had a negative reaction, although i could see it in peoples' faces that i wasn't wearing a bright booty rainbow shirt for funsies. and even then her reaction was just a souring of her face when she noticed. she was still ...polite.

had one girl say she liked my 'rainbow thing' i had going on (with that knowing look in her eye,) and i checked out two girlfriends buying a ton of rainbow paint and ribbon, i guess for a party.

i cannot WAIT to go to church on sunday and listen to 300 old white dudes bitch about the gays c:

Honestly, I feel really fortunate that the ruling happened during this period of my life when I've discovered fairly recently that I'm T and L. Not trying to rub it in the face of anyone who's known they were gay longer than I have, of course. I feel really bad about all the hate, discrimination, and persecution you all must have been through that I've just barely experienced at all, and I'm sure I'll face that in the future. I just feel fortunate that one of the major obstacles towards equality is more or less gone before I had to really deal with it. For those of you who have had to deal with that nonsense before, way to be strong. You guys are the real heroes, I just got the cards stacked for me just right.

I wasn't working today but I can guarantee that I'm going to deal with that tomorrow. I kinda want to wear something with a rainbow on it but I don't have anything I can put on my uniform.

Today was a day.

Was siting getting my car repaired, really upset that I'll be late for work, and would cost and arm/leg. When I check facebook and notice rainbows everywhere.

I suddenly didn't care about my shitty car, I had this shit eating grin on my face and looked up to see the other people in thee waiting room.
They gave me this odd look, like you would if some random person just did that. Embarrassed I went back to my feed to read all the love and support.

While scrolling I was scared of the inevitable hate I would encounter, I do after all live in Oklahoma. To my surprise, nothing. Every single post about the ruling was positive.
My friends are fucking awesome!
I guess transitioning and coming out wont be as hard as I once thought. At least to my friends.

My facebook is full of rainbows! I'm glad I live in California. The one customer who mentioned it was all super pop flyin' about it.

I came out to my host parents despite my fears tonight during our last dinner, and they were pop flyin' for me. They mentioned the SCOTUS case and said that I should have a nice future with my eventual boyfriend and that they want me to come visit them when I find someone.

They also gave me a cooking cloth to tie up my hair which I couldn't find anywhere and said I'd be a good husband and now I want to cry because I'm on the train leaving them.

I'm so pop flyin'.

Congratulations Kamak!

Coming out to your parents is the biggest hurdle, I think. Because they're your parents, you know? They are always gonna be around.

Well, these are host parents, but I feel like they're just like my real parents though so it's about as scary confessing to them.

I remember when I was younger, my friends told me that a lesbian was just someone who liked girls. I had just started to figure out that girls are cute and they smell nice and thought "Oh, so that makes me a lesbian!"

Years later: OOPS

At least you didn't learn about lesbians the way they did on south park.
