I never played FF7, it looks really cool from the trailer though.

Hopefully Nintendo can keep the hype going but its safe to say the real winner of this E3 is us.

While the Uncharted video was nice, after they got it working, I couldn't help but think I've seen that scene before.

Then it hit me, Sonic Adventure 2.

I'm on board the Final Fantasy VII Hype Chocobo.

Shenmue 3 got fucking funded overnight. It's at 2.3 million as of right now.

I haven't had a chance to watch Sony's conference yet. Gotta' go to work soon.

But be real, Sony's had a free "You win E3 if you show The Last Guardian" card for years now. I'm glad they finally decided to play it.

Okay seriously, you can't "win E3" if you show something that was delayed since the PS3. From what I've seen it doesn't seem to have improved much at all. I can only hope it doesn't share Duke Nukem Forever's fate.

Sony just showed what everyone wanted, there wasn't anything new to grab people with. And Shenmue 3 is a Kickstarter! Sure, it obviously got funded overnight, but what kind of E3 conference advertises a Kickstarter as a selling point?

The worst part is, only The Last Guardian is a PS4 exclusive. Everything else is "first on PlayStation", aka "also on PC". And while I don't really like the concept of exclusives myself, Sony trying to pitch FFVII Returns and Shenmue 3 as Reasons You Should Please Please Buy A PS4 Please is kind of ridiculous.

And to add insult to injury, Sony further cements the Vita as a "legacy platform" by not talking about it at all.

If that's all it takes for Sony to "win E3", then Sony must be living the dream right now.

Of course, I'm not trying to insult anyone for liking the conference - I'm sure Shenmue fans, FF fans and people who were really hoping The Last Guardian would return are very pop flyin' - but saying "Sony wins", even as a joke or exaggeration, just doesn't seem right at all.

What else are they supposed to sell a console with these days though? You can only get so many exclusivity deals.

Some people were expecting Bloodborne DLC.
There's also Uncharted 4.
Appeal to the weebs with some Japanese games like those made by Tamsoft and XSEED/Marvelous. Sony really likes those Japanese games. I was shocked there weren't any shown off. Of course, maybe that's because the Vita is dead.
They could get a team like Monolith Soft is to Nintendo and have them make some exclusive games.

I wasn't able to watch much of E3. Any news of Kingdom Hearts III?

Hoping I get to see at least Nintendo's stuff.
