So we went strawberry collecting today, and I just filled a bowl for myself right now and took some pictures

KITTIES!!!!!!!

My dog would love to play with those. She's a large dog (some people have actually been scared of her), but any other animal she finds, she wants to be friends with it. Took a little while for her to figure out that maybe that striped "kitty" that smells kinda strange isn't interested in being her friend. She'll just lick 'em a bit and push them with her nose a couple times, but she won't try hurting them.

My cats will now hang out with the dog all the time.

my dog hoxton has spent most of the time they've been out of their pen for playtime shoving his nose up their asses because he just REALLY WANTS TO PLAY?

and they don't care about him. bonus points for all my fosters: they're used to big dogs.

That reminds me, I need to try getting a picture of my cat when he's giving the dog a hug. The dog outweighs him by about 60 pounds, but he still occasionally tries to get her to play with him. And occasionally, she does.

Time for some annual fishing trip photos. I'll keep it short.

I think the stupid Wal-Mart hat looks retarded but it serves its anti-sunlight purpose well enough. This is the only picture I can find where I'm rocking it.

Grandpa reeled in a fat gag grouper but it wasn't in season so we had to toss it back. When grouper season comes around we're never gonna catch one that big.

On the way back to shore one of the troll lines hooked something and I was the closest to it. I fought this fish so fucking hard, I thought I was going to drop the rod at one point.

King mackerel females are about twice as large as males, so this was probably more like a queen mackerel *yuck yuck yuck*. Around four feet long (I didn't measure it), it was at least a foot longer than the other two mackerel we caught.

The mackerel left scales and slime all over my hand. Tasted like victory.

The final tally. Full tag of red snapper, three mackerel, two bonita, and a few black snapper. I caught an amberjack bigger than any of those snapper, but it was about a foot too short to be allowed to keep.

The ocean is awe-inspiring, beautiful, and terrifying. All at once. I love it.
