I have a feeling this phone is a weird Frankenstein mishmash of Japanese phones and androids. It keeps changing rules on what typing what does. I sent a text in all caps because the lock wouldn't turn off and the backspace wasn't a backspace.

Now I've just said fuck it and am using the phone as a hotspot for my normal phone.

We're going to gundam park when we go to Tokyo, and it had a full sized gundam there. Guess Tokyo is going to have to lose a tourist attraction when I go all Carmen Sandiego on it.

The host family is super nice! The parents speak good English and are easing me in because jet lag and stuff. I made my own breakfast, some fried eggs with soy sauce, and we had Japanese Curry for lunch, which is more like a chicken version of beef stew with curry spices. It was とてもおいしいですよ! [T/N: very delicious, Baka]. We then went shopping for food for dinner along with clothes for the eldest boy since he outgrew his previous summer clothes. He doesn't speak much English, but we try to communicate through his mom's help. For dinner we had teriyaki karei (flatfish) with pickled mushrooms, cucumber, and miso soup. The food was very good and I started to get used to chopsticks, though I still can't cut with them very well.

All in all it was a good first day. And now I slumber for 1000 years.
