I'm currently in a (very) long distance relationship with a girl all the way in Arkansas and I hate that so much cheddar has to be involved in order for us to see each other in person. She's planning on moving over here, but that's going to require cheddar too and so many other things and I just don't know when it's going to happen. :[ It sucks that she lives so far away. She's my best friend and we can talk to each other about bodaciously anything and I never feel self-concious or like I have to restrain parts of myself like I did in my last relationship with her and it's not faaaaair

OKAY Y'ALL FURGAY NEEDS HELP

so i want to sort of jump into the world of gay dating/hook-up apps for when im back in california (the state isn't the only thing thats thirsty) so I downloaded Growlr (gay bears app) and i've gotten about 9 messages from strangers within an hour but all of a sudden my anxiety is just shooting through the roof???? Like i feel like every message i'm getting im getting sprayed in the face with water like some weird gay dog shivering away from his phone.

so, what do you guys do to sort of get yourself amped for this kind of thing? because I want to meet people but at the same time i'm really scared of meeting new people through this sort of method. and i'm not just looking for queer community opinions if you've used tinder or whatever you straight monsters use please give me any sort of advice!

Also I want to ask: Are those kinds of apps just hookup apps or dating apps like FOR ACTUAL DATES for relationships and stuff? Don't get me wrong, non-committal fun times are swell, but sometimes I gotta have something more.

If you can tell I've never used a dating/hookup app so I definitely am no help towards psyching you up. Just standard GET OUT THERE AND GET IT WOO WOO hype. Sorry!

We've all said it a millions times, but you need to just focus on yourself for a while. Your happiness shouldn't come only from other people.

Just try to figure out what you want to do in life and try not to be desperate for other people, lots of people who are desperate tend to do irrational things and it usually ends up badly for them with either a broken heart or other mental damage. Just do what everyone keeps telling you. Focus on doing stuff for yourself, treat yourself some times, find hobbies, enjoy your current favorite activities, just try to forget about relations, your ex's sound like douchebags anyways, it sucks to be desperate, but you'll get over it if you just do 'you' things for a while.

Why am I not interested in making friends unless I can date them? The second I find out I can't I'm out off the friendship. I just end it.
