I'm now working for a Non-For Profit group in the area, We are setting up a Christmas display/light show in a old warehouse. the event has been around for some years now but the city has pulled fully supporting it so we had to move and charge admission now. I'm in charge of editing the website, and help on the tax stuff. so yay

You mean EARLY! It's a very complicated display.

Replaced the boards on a work trailer today.

It involved much more time and sledgehammers than I expected. My back hurts.

It takes time to set up this stuff, and we got the part of the warehouse that was a haunted house at some point Pentagrams and fake blood everywhere

Satan's Christmas sounds like my kind of attraction.

It's not paid work - again - but Easter season's here which means it's the season for the Thorn, the Easter-pageant-on-steroids I've been working with for a couple years now. This year's participation is probably significantly less than previous due to work schedules putting a big X on the Denver venue, but it still managed six hours worth of practice out of me on Tuesday and a fourteen hour day full of getting the second half of the aerialists' rigging set up then a couple hurried and harried practices with them right before the final dress rehearsal.

On the brighter side, got to hang around a fairly swell subcontractor from Ontario during all that and there was food and drinks involved afterwards. The same company provides the aerial rigging for us pretty much every year and their people are always pretty cool.

Today was the first day I legitimately got angry at work. Not just a bit miffed, upset, or in a grumpy mood - I was yelling and throwing shit on the floor.

No one dared to talk to me, and the intern actually ran away from me.

My replacement showed up a half hour early for work today for no discernible reason, so I got to go home a half hour early.

This woman came in, she had to be like 65 years old.

She was very polite, telling us all about how much she loves bourbon but it gives her such a headache so she wants to try something new.

She bought SEVEN Four Loko.

Dear Loyal Patrons of the Taco Bell Drive Thru,

Yes, we do live in a city where it's windy frequently. Yes, I am aware that the wind is really strong right now. No, as a matter of fact, when you try to be funny and pretend like you lost your grip on your $20 in change and it's going to blow away, I don't actually find that funny, it STRESSES ME THE FUCK OUT.

When I worked at McDonalds, if people ever dropped their cheddar in the DT, the managers would send the least useful person out to get it. Usually the fries guy, and he had to squeeeeze between the car and the building to pick it up, OR chase it down if it was too windy. But never the DT crew because we're faaaaaaaar too important and the speed (lol) of the DT relies on us.
