I never had much trouble with Kid Icarus's controls, but I guess by the sound of it I'm a minority. And I felt the stand-peripheral-thing made it harder.

I didn't find them difficult, but I did find them painful for the first few hours. Same goes for Metroid Prime Hunters.

I never understood why people had trouble with Uprising's controls, I got used to them by about chapter 5 or so

That's way too fucking long to get used to a game's controls.

the game has around 20ish chapters

chapter 5 is still part of the tutorial stages

so yeah no i'd say having the controls down by the time the tutorial is wrapping up is pretty solid.

See maybe it's because I think of chapters in the Fire Emblem sense where things start getting real around 4 or 5 chapters in but kid icarus never stopped hurting my hands and that's a personal foul.

I'm left handed and I used the default control scheme and I was perfectly fine

Couldn't aim and shoot at the same time, though

I really regret getting the Circle Pad Pro because I don't use it at all

i don't understand how so many people had trouble with it's controls, like

it's not hard to hold it in one hand, and the stylus in the other

it's bodaciously how you play a ton of other 3DS games, this just uses the circle pad a lot more.

So howzabout dat Zelda

I'm actually going back and playing through Twilight Princess atm. I've probably played it a good 4 times now. Honestly it's my second favorite next to Majora. Something about it really resonates.

I love twilight princess but I cannot look at that game because it's so gross looking to me. I really hope they do an HD remake of TP just so they can make it look better than a gamecube game that was ported to the Wii

Twilight Princess was excellent. The Temple of Time parts were my favorite, because I'm a sucker for old things and ruins. Twilight Princess HD would be very welcome. They did WindWaker, so it's possible they could refine TP to fill a gap in releases or something.

Really looking forward to Zelda 2015 - I loved how open WindWaker felt, and I love the idea of an open world LAND Zelda. IIRC WW used repeating ocean to disguise loading new maps and such? Really quite clever.

did you miss the part where I said I use the stylus and the circle pad BOTH with my left hand
Uprising requires you to use both things simultaneously.

Anyway, Twilight Princess: it's one of my favorite zelda games because it's what originally got me interested in the zelda series, I'd never wanted to play and/or own a zelda game until then. I hate the designs for most of the characters though, that's what I think of when people call the game 'ugly'. I can tolerate the dullish color scheme but I don't know WHAT the character designers were thinking with some of the NPCs.

lolita facepaint bug girl springs to mind. She always felt out of place. What's her name? Agatha? If that is her name, I only know it because of Hyrule Warriors.

Ganon/Zelda/Link were great in terms of design (I prefer all of their TP looks over their SS looks), and Skull Kid was on point. Everyone else was either too bland or too crazy.

TP is my favorite one as well. As for characters, I thought Telma and Queen Rutela had really good designs..

I also kinda' like Malo's design, because it's so creepy that it becomes funny. Hot dang do I love Castle Town Malo Mart.
