Who been watching DAC so far? Some interesting results so far already, EG and Secret dominating, Secret even pulling off a Techies pick against C9. Navi got off to a horrid start but they've started to pull it back a little, while C9 is starting to choke. Newbee, the TI4 champions, are dead last. Rave is the surprise of the tournament for me though.

Ok it's been sufficiently long and I have to say I don't like the new comeback mechanic. I always enjoyed playing snowballing mids like QoP, TA, Ballernar etc., but they are so hard to play right now. You get your nice 4-0 or 7-0 or whatever start and then you die once and you've lost pretty much your entire lead. If your hard carry is actually utilising the space you're creating to farm then you're usually still fine but you can be in real trouble when the enemy has a true dual core with like a Troll mid or something.

Even on the losing team I don't enjoy the mechanic much because it usually just causes the game to drag on too long.

I haven't noticed too many problems. I usually play a bit more cautiously, but overall it's alright. Of course I don't play a lot of snowball heroes, but every few games I've gotten big streaks.

I've noticed I really like playing offlaners with spammy spells. I've liked Timbersaw for a while, just had a good Bristleback game. We were Axe+Bristle against an Ursa and Crystal Maiden. All our lanes did well, and we got megas and won the game quickly. Don't like big impact long cooldown spells, feel great when you land the best one, but then a minute or more of waiting.

Timbersaw is great, good in lane, flash farm, dominant midgame and scales decently into the lategame. Bristleback seems very strong right now and gets picked often in pro games, even as a safelane carry.

bristles always been pretty daisies strong, its just people started realizing it. the pros try something new for a change and they are all like SHIT WE GOTTA TRY THAT TOO THAT WORKED AMAZING

look at ogre magi for instance. couple of the not well known teams like leviathan and root gaming were picking ogre and all of a sudden first pick/ban, and now hes not even touched

I'm pretty sad that it seems like with every new cosmetic released, dota moves one step further away from it's original goal to preserve character silhouettes and colour palettes, instead moving one step closer to TF2 levels of visual clutter and plain ugliness.

Hopefully the only things keeping Dota 2 alive won't be garbage memes and hats instead of geniune love for the game and actually playing it
