I cant what your looking for, you said you want someone easy, yet one some one harder to play.

Xin is mechanically simple, yet you have to gauge when to go all in with him so i guess he would be a good medium for you.
Personally i was able to pick up Jarvan quickly and he's pro tier, but i watched alot of Pawnce, who seriously is probably the worlds best Jarvan player

I was a little confused myself because Riven actually matches your criteria perfectly. :/

I like Riven for the most part, but I'm having trouble with animation canceling. Other than that, I enjoy playing her.

I thought about trying Jarvan actually, and my friends are telling me to try Sion. Not sure which one I'll go for. I'll probably wait until one of them are free week and try that.

Sion is pretty much a pure tank, he's better if you want to be safe in lane and be unkillable come late game. Jarvan has a bit more damage on him as well as more reliable cc if you can aim his flag effectively but he's not as tanky as a result.

I think I would like Sion then. Riven's squishiness makes it hard for me to sustain in lane for long.

heres a sion guide, its really detail and thought out, even if you dont feel like following i exactly it at least gives good insight into how sion works

A friend of mine recommends Renekton.

I'll probably try Sion out first, but Renekton seems like fun so I'll give him a shot later on.
