Oh, I don't hold any negative opinion of him for it. It's just a funny post to remember.

TB has been climbing in standing in my eyes since I first discovered him, it's pretty hard to dislike the guy now considering all the things he's done, the work he puts in and how honest and passionate he comes across, even if you don't agree with everything he says.

Gawker creates its own clickbait by rigging up a bot to get Coca Cola's Twitter account to recite Mein Kampf.

This is the kind of lunatic company that owns Kotaku and many other "news" outlets, and people are still confused as to why gamers are boycotting it?

I posted that earlier, but yeah. I used to read Kotaku, but it just got worse and worse. How can we trust anything they report when it's clear they'll do these kinds of things for attention?

Netflix and Nintendo are in the early stages of developing a Legend of Zelda live action series. The show is said to be a family friendly Game of Thrones.~The Wall street journal.

Indiana Jones would be a better direction to take it.

I knew the Wall Street Journal covered it first. I meant the Wall Street Journal doesn't source anyone or anything. Hell, it's not even on their actual news site, it's in a blog post. Netflix and Nintendo aren't saying anything, so I'm calling bullshit.

Sorry, my bad, I'll be more specific next time
Anyway it's not happening, or at least I should HOPE it's not happening
This kind of bad move could really tarnish Zelda as a series if it fails horribly enough, and it would
It would be known as "the Super Mario Bros. Movie of Zelda", "Nintendo's Second Live-Action Blunder", "0/10 would not watch"
Sure, Nintendo could be overseeing it to make sure Netflix doesn't COMPLETELY shit all over their property (I'm sure they learned enough from the system that won't be named), but when you hear "Zelda meets Game of Thrones in a family friendly adaptation", something just doesn't add up

Dude, you used the Mario movie in a post where you said that this show would "tarnish" the Zelda series.

Do you honestly believe the mario series is also tarnished after that movie? Obviously videogames haven't had a lot of success in tv or movie adaptations, but that doesn't mean it can't work. No point in being negative and cynical before any information or even images have been shared at all.

My biggest concern if--IF--such a thing comes to fruition is how they're going to portray the characters. We've seen how disastrous every other attempt to give Link a voice has been--how would the producers handle that? It's actually a much bigger thing to worry about than some people think. Would they keep him as a silent protagonist or...?

Also, I think casting the right people for the main characters will be important too. Link's not a little 8-bit sprite anymore, people have a clear picture of what he's 'supposed' to look like now.

Also also, I'd be kind of worried about what the team would do with Ganondorf/Ganon. Hopefully they'd do something awesome and not, y'know, wildly offensive.
