So I've had Awakening for quite a bit now... and, uh... I, uh......

Somebody... please... help me.

SAVE ME FROM WHAT I'VE BECOME.

In other words, the devs are horrible, sadistic people who make you choose only one waifu leaving over half a dozen other waifus foreveralone, and, on top of that, they clash waifuism against gameplay mechanics/usefulness.

Of course, the husbando reverse-side is the same as well.

Furthermore, every piece of fanart and stuff I find only spin my head with more/lost possibilities/headcanons. Seriously. Look how freakin' adorable that is. Instead I ended up making with the shipping of Gregor and Cordelia. And no, doing it differently on another playthrough doesn't count - it just won't be the same, okay?!

I'm sorry, you must have meant ROBIN and Cordelia. It's OK, we all make those mistakes from time to time.

Also Chrom and Sumia OTP.

Oy! Gregor is good guy, yes? Then where is problem with the shipmenting of Gregor and Cordelia? Good grieving...
Also, Gregor and Severa make for the strongest axe duo! Even with basic Hand Axe they could have soloed the entirety of Infinite Regalia (after getting annihilated earlier, then returning)... granted, I'm still on my first filthy normal casual run.... but still!
Also, their support conversation is what made me ship them in the first place. Up until Gregor's chapter I had never used Cordelia and needed someone stronger to compliment her (and so Gregor could actually move around). But holy moley, man, that support... after hearing
Gregor/Cordelia A Support wrote:
Gregor: Ah, Gregor... You have let fair woman take your heart while you not looking. ...... *Sigh* Ah, well. Gregor must soldier on...
at the end of their A-rank support I could NOT live with myself if I didn't S-rank them! And then... this little exchange made my heart explode (no, Henry, not bodaciously):
Gregor/Cordelia S Support wrote:
Gregor: ...... ...Oy. THIS is real deal? You propose to Gregor?!
Cordelia: I propose to Gregor.

Also in some screens I saw it was revealed that Cordelia's upper armor is apparently not as "fully packed" as it might appear... no problem with that, I'm just saying...
......wait, backstep... you said Robin. Male Robin or... Female....? *awkward cough*

...but yeah. Chrom!Cynthia is best pega-pony princess.
(side note: ohmygods, Cynthia is the most hyperdorable character, I can't take it! the supports with her and my avatar, omfg! ...though with his appearance and their interactions I could only see, like, a big brother-y or uncle-y kinda deal there)

PS) Aside from the obvious "give myself the harem ending" cliche, I would totally give ALL the ladies to Gregor and Henry if I could. They've earned it. Although I'm devastated that it appears you can't pair Henry with Female Morgan.....

I bought Awakening today. You might say I am 100% with the times. Good god this game is gorgeous. I've played a bit of it before and it STILL gets me.

You know, I married Gregor and Lissa because I thought it was a cute relationship, but Lissa is pretty young and Gregor seems sort of old and I've creeped myself out a bit. Eh. Didn't use him much though, was too lazy to train him to be better then what I had.

Uhh....help? What the fuck do I do about training? I'm like 6 or 7 chapters in and I still have some people at Lv. 3 and Donell at Lv. 2. I've tried using a Reeking Box to fight Risen and train that way, but someone always gets killed.

Edit: I'm at Chapter 5.

Pair a weaker character up with a stronger character, keep your team close together, and keep a healer on hand at all times. The best and only way to grind levels is to use reeking boxes.

The levels of the risen you fight change depending on where you use the reeking box, so maybe try using it in the first chapter's area.

Gotcha. I pretty much did that and had Frederick help kill things quickly so I don't have twenty Risen coming after one guy.

One thing you can do is have Frederick not have any weapons so he can't counterattack and immediately kill things. That way he can be a punching bag for the bad guys while your weaker units (aka the rest of them) can kill the Risen and get more experience.

You can also buy the EXP DLC and grind like there's no tomorrow

But that's pay-to-win and you would therefore be a bad person

Chrom and Sumia tied the knot and I'm working on getting me and Cordelia to mack on each other. It's slow going.

I'm also working on Stahl and Sully, Kellam and Miriel, and Gaius and Maribelle(which is also slow going because they're both made of fucking paper).

I wouldn't support two of the same class, you most likely won't need both of them, unless you plan on reclassing one.

Also, is there anyone on this forum planet who can talk FE7/Blazing Sword/Rekka no Ken with me?

I'm only putting them together because I'm playing the game on Normal and can get away S Ranking two units because they're cute together.

I've played Rekka no Ken, but didn't finish it. Got to Eliwood's story.

Back to Awakening, am I """""supposed""""" to promote my units once they get their second skill or wait until they reach Lv. 20?

I would wait till Level 20. I wouldn't waste a couple levels, even if it just levels up one stat. A couple more battles as first tier won't hurt in comparison to buying a Second Seal to make up later.

Unless you happen to really like a class's attack animations and such, which were probably more dynamic in the older games, anyway. Warrior's helicopter axe and Lyn's multiple clones of death, anyone?

Made it to Paralogue 4 and got Virion killed before I shut it off. I'll retry it tomorrow. Man, if Paralogue 2 didn't teach me that Berserkers are not to be fucked with, this one sure did.
