I've been going through older episodes of Friday Night Fisticuffs, and I've noticed that they intentionally avoid referring to Fighterpedia by name. Do they really not have the right to do that?

EDIT: They finally mentioned Fighterpedia by name in this episode.

And alongside that, they talk a bit more about why they don't like BlazBlue. They do say that they've given it a fair shot (Woolie says that it's mechanically fine and admits that they've been divas about it) and their main issues seem to stem from the amount of systems in it and the character designs.

A new version of the game will be coming out later on, so I'd at least like to see them give it a shot.

Hey, Best Friends released a top 10 of the year... 2013. Uh sure.

Well, they did say they would release the 2013 lists in 2014, so the Q4 games had "time to stew" in their minds.

Apparently they made super gumbo chilli or something because they stewed on it a loooonng time.

I was into the creatures earlier this season, but their content has been meh too me, Derp Crew was awesome, Chilled can be a prick though. Xcal is always a favorite too.

Derp Crew is also probably one of my favorite LP groups and they all have the potential to be a dick sometimes. I'm not sure if Tom is an official member or just a really common guest. Even so, he's my favorite of the bunch.

So I never actually listened to the Best Friends Christmascast from last year, as I kept saying "Oh I'll get to it eventually." I finally realized it was Christmas again and decided to listen to it.

They spent like 20 minutes spitballing on how troubled they thought Hyrule Warriors would turn out. Knowing that they ended up loving the game and playing it for weeks just made me grin the whole time I was listening. (They were basically right about some points, though, like that Nintendo would be looking over Tecmo's shoulder the whole time the game was being developed.)

I hope there'll be another Christmascast tomorrow.

Man, it was a daisies good idea of the Best Friends to do a "most disappointing games of the year" thing, cause that's becoming such a prevalent and important thing with all these goddamn sequels, and it allows them to criticise games without a bunch of monkeys flinging shit at them. Too bad it's a year late.

The Best Friends' live action Christmas video had super-fast credits and in them it said that they will be doing Silent Hill 2 and possibly another Rustlemania. Also, the Shitstorm will return to the classic 31 days formula, since he apparently went on a shopping spree this year for odd/obscure stuff. I'm worried about how a second Rustlemania would go down, though. The games they played for the original were a mixed group of well-made games and so-bad-they're hilarious games, and some just plain bad ones in between. They're going to need to look around a lot more for solid wrestling games to play, lest they get stuck playing outright bad ones for most of the month.

The theme months are overall a huge gamble. The Superfriends month wasn't a good idea in my opinion because 1) Only Woolie and Matt are genuinely interested in comics, Pat outright hates them and it's clear that their modern comic knowledge is sorely lacking and 2) They didn't balance out the awesome games with the hilariously bad ones. In one case they intentionally played the bad version of a solid game (X-Men Origins Wolverine on the Wii) as a blatant troll.

It also feels like Matt is the only one pushing for the non-Shitstorm theme months.

I absolutely adored the first Rustlemania but I'm very doubtful they'll find enough material to justify filling another month.
