I always wanted a Trio that did that, and when I heard the legendary Dogs getting their own renditions of the theme, I immediately knew I was going to love HG/SS's soundtrack.

The track I posted isn't actually just the regular legendary battle theme, it's the Primal battle theme. The regular theme will play when you're catching Rayquaza, and it's pretty awesome too:

But you get to hear the Primal theme while you're catching the box legend (as it has already Reversed into Primal form) so I'm super psyched.

The other legends coming from Hyperspace Holes use the original themes they got whenever they got them, in the original soundfont (Ho-oh and Lugia only got themes in HGSS so they use those in the Gen 4 soundfont), but rather than using the version from Crystal, the Beasts get the GB Sounds version of the HGSS variant.

It's being speculated that Yoko Shimomura helped with some of these tracks, mostly the two Zinnia ones.

I started the video before I finished reading your post and I had to double check it was the right one because I was not expecting them to just use the old song. I posted the original one earlier and I still think it's the best example of why I prefer the older MIDI-style music from the first few gens, especially two, compared to the later games. While the games have generally improved in most aspects, I haven't been too much of a fan of the direction the music's taken, the fifth gen games being the last ones I played. I think they've gotten too melodic and upbeat for my taste and maybe a bit too 'busy' if you know what I mean. I could probably explain it better if I knew jack shit about music theory but I generally prefer rawness, punchiness and good use of contrast plus I'm a sucker for MIDI/chiptunes and other such stuff made with a limited palette. It's also why the same theme in HG/SS disappointed me a bit when I first heard it.
