So, to recap, you've been acting strange, you just so happened to investigate one of your main accusers, and he just so happened to turn up guilty?

Yup, YCobb's guilty. I have a bad habit of antagonizing people, especially when I start acting like I have something on them.

Not that I don't believe you, but I don't actually believe you.

Yeah... I'm calling your bluff. If you knew YCobb was guilty, why didn't you vote for him sooner? However, if it turns out you're telling the truth, then at least we know who to go after the next day.

I didn't want to reveal my role yet, and voting for him with no reason would only make me look bad. And why would you take out the investigator? My abilities might still come in handy.

Your story is pretty convenient and you chose an odd time to tell it in the first place.

We could wait to see if anyone contests you for that role claim, but then they would most definitely be a target for the mafia so you claiming to be the investigator could just be the mafia's way of trying to figure out who the real investigator is.

You would have had reason to though. Cori stated very early on that she was Ex-traitor. Meaning anyone who shows as guilty would be either a Traitor or Mutineer. You went with no lynch when you claim to have had a valid target. Therefore, I think you're bluffing.

No one's going to step forward as an investigator. If I'm planked, I'm going to be revealed as the investigator, and then whoever stepped forward as an investigator is going to look guilty, guilty, guilty.

Its a binary issue. There's merit to both the idea that he's innocent and guilty, even with the role reveal. To be fair, you'd all feel cheated if we just up and lynched him and he turned out to be the first mate, because "ohhhh well why didn't he say anything?!?!?!"

Look, I'm not the smartest when it comes to these games. I thought it would be a good idea to act later, and so I waited for a better opportunity. Also, I voted "No Lynch" so we could get to the next night quicker because it was SOOOO boring what with all the NOTHING going on.

A day 2, technically day 1 claim of "in the first mate, this guys guilty!" Is not only suspicious as hell, but paints a target on your back, regardless of how valuable you are to the Mafia. You have to collect a list of names and then indirectly sway suspicion on the guilty lot. You also wait until later on to claim because then you can reveal a whole buttload of names as opposed to the single name you were lucky to get. Him claiming as the ship was ready to lynch him was the correct play.
